Enjoy this traditional 1840's log cabin nestled on 11 acres of land backing up to the Mayo River State Park. Sit back and relax in the rocking chairs on the front porch, or sit by the fire. The adventurous can hike along the creek, to the river, or walk to a beautiful waterfall. This peaceful property will provide you with a charming escape from your day-to-day life and bring you back into an atmosphere of times past, surrounded by nature, with modern amenities to keep you comfortable.
The space On the ground floor of the cabin you will first enter the rustic living room with one of the two original stone fireplaces. Right next door is the primary bedroom, with a second fireplace and a queen-sized bed for two. On the back side of the living room you'll find the kitchen with a dining area and access to the second porch. On the other side of the kitchen is the bathroom.
The upper floor can be accessed via a (pretty steep) staircase from the living room. Upstairs you will find a large open room with seating and a king bed and next to it the cozy upstairs bedroom with a twin and a queen bed.
Guest access You will enter the property through a gated gravel driveway that leads to the cabin. The driveway loop at the top offers space to park several vehicles.
Other things to note The wifi at the cabin is via satellite and is therefore limited in speed and performance. It can be effected by weather and time of day. This would not be a good stay for those expecting to work remotely with streaming/video conferencing. Even for recreational browsing- don't expect to have a stable or fast connection.

Such an adorable cabin, tucked away from the main roads. This was the perfect place to stay during our Martinsville race weekend. We enjoyed the quiet and solitude of the cabin after time at the track.
The cabin and stay was great! The only thing I have a problem with is making you pay for any extra people. We had 4 beds so I the whole place was ours so it doesn't make since to make you pay for each person, whether its 2 or 4 or more.

We’re glad you enjoyed our place and would be happy host you again. We do have a charge per guest over 2 which is stated in our listing since an increase in guests and use of beds increases our cleaning costs and expenses. Hope to see you again!
This property was perfect. The hosts made certain that everything you could need to enjoy your stay was there! We will definitely look to return next year!
Husband and I stayed for 4 days very detailed instructions on checking in and out nice quiet place very cozy nice beds if you forget anything at home most likely it was at the cabin thanks for a wonderful stay
We had a great stay here for a weekend. The cabin is secluded and cozy. Everything needed for a stay was provided and communication with the host was great!
