The property was easy to find...great directions from the host. We weren't sure from the photos what to expect from the property. It was not what I had envisioned, but I felt at home in the 50s to 70s eclectic furnishings and decor since that was the Era I grew up in.
There are a few reasons I gave this property a rating of 4 that I think other guests would like to know before staying there. The first reason was the spider webs with spiders nearly everywhere on the outside of the property and even some on the inside. The second reason was the infestation of ants which we primarily noticed in the kitchen which prompted us to store all of our food in the refrigerator where they couldn't get into it. The third reason was the sliding glass doors with glass doors that were very difficult to open and screen doors that fell off the tracks when being operated. The final reason was that we were not told at any time before actually checking into our property that we were required to collect our trash when we left and take it to a trash facility which had minimal days and hours of operation. Instead, this information is shared in the guest instruction book at the property. I believe this is something people should be told ahead of time.
It's a lovely location and is easily accessible to everything on the island. We enjoyed spending time at the beach in the evenings, though with no lighting it is necessary to take flashlights to get back to the house up 4 flights of stairs. I loved the beautiful wooded lot and the sweet little flower garden at the front of the house. We enjoyed our stay and will have lovely memories to look back on.
