Elegant Killington Condo with True Ski-on/Ski-Off January-March
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! Ski-on ski-off and avoid the crowds...Walk to the Fitness Center...Cook in the kitchen or eat in the restaurant Friday & Saturday. Leave the car in the parking lot the entire vacation!
'The Lodges' is regarded as one of the most convenient developments in the Killington area and offer top quality accommodations with a location unmatched on the entire mountain. There are very few 3-bed, 3-bath units with such a spectacular location and high-quality amenities. They are either too far away, too big, too small, or too old.
Our unit is in the Aspen Lodge which is the closest building to the bottom of Sunrise Lift, a ski lift which is typically open New Years through March. You are literally steps from a lift. Forget frozen, muddy, gridlocked parking lots and lines of skiers trying to get onto the mountain on a powder day – you are already on the mountain at opening and can ski home at the end of the day. Being on the ground floor, you can ski right up to your door. The Sunrise Triple takes about 12 minutes to the top. Ski down to Bear Mountain and, with the Bear Mountain Express quad (about 8 minutes), you can be at the K-1 base lodge in about 30 minutes, even if there is a giant snowstorm the night before. Such a difference being on the mountain instead of the alternative where, if there's a giant snowstorm the night before, you can't even get to the mountain until your place is plowed out and the roads are cleared.
USE THE SUNRISE LIFT WITHOUT A LIFT PASS - A BIG PLUS FOR NEW SKIERS. The Sunrise Lift does not require a ski pass and is typically used to access Bear Mountain, but there is simple and long trail which goes back to the bottom of the lift. Beginner skiers can practice their skills for free simply by taking advantage of this lift and doing a few laps on this trail. Although restricted to skiing “Bearview” then “Sundog” or “Rendezvous,” these are green trails, ideal for new skiers wanting to develop skills and gain confidence.
The Sunrise Center is within walking distance and offers a wide array of outdoor activities and a fitness center indoors. Outside is cross-country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, and (if conditions allow) outdoor skating. Don't worry about equipment - it's all provided for your convenience. If that doesn't suit you, there's an over-sized gas firepit and outdoor hot tub.
Inside the Sunrise Fitness Center you can enjoy the large indoor pool, an indoor hot tub, a steam room, dry sauna, and adequately equipped exercise facility. You can even pick up a light meal at the Sunrise Restaurant, open 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for lunches and on Friday and Saturday for dinner.
INTERIOR COMFORTS As our vacation home, our desire was to have a truly convenient ski condo – luxurious without being outrageous or gaudy. Spacious, yet easy to upkeep. The tiled living room area features two sofas, a plush chair, a gas fireplace, and large flat screen TV with DVD and Internet Streaming. The well-stocked kitchen features stainless steel appliances, oak cabinets, granite counter tops and beautifully tiled floors.
Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own bathroom for added privacy and comfort. The master bedroom sleeps 2 on a king size bed. The guest room sleeps 2 on two twins. The bunk bed room sleeps 4 on two bunk beds. If necessary, the pullout sofa in the living room can sleep 2 on the queen-size mattress, but this is rarely used. This condo sleeps 8 comfortably and is ideal for two families or four couples.

We were so comfortable here. We love the location and the condo had everything we needed. We would definitely try to stay here again when we return to Killington.
We spent the Thanksgiving weekend at the condo. It is very large and in great condition. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing that needed improvement was that all pots and pans were scratched and should be replaced

The kitchen is well stocked. There are four different types of pots/pans: scanpan, Cuisinart, all-glass, and stainless. All sets are high-quality. You must be referring to the scanpans, which are professional quality pans used by many chefs. They appear 'scratched' because that's how they are cleaned/refurbished - with a steal-wool pad. They are designed to be cleaned that way, with any burned-on food particles literally being scratched off, leaving the pan in like-new cooking condition (with a few drops of oil). I've cooked on scanpans for over twenty years and they continue to amaze me how evenly and consistently they cook on the gas-top. They are always my go-to pans. I provide the glass pots and stainless (despite rarely using them) if the look/performance of the scratched pans bothers anyone.
Condo is a nice size for our group of 7. Lift started running on our last day but bear mtn parking was very close and wasn’t crowded. We had some minor issues but David was responsive.
Awesome unit - fabulous location, very well appointed; hosts very nice and responsive - only criticism is requirement to use Apple TV for entertainment - no live sports available - a big disappointment to my husband and son

During the summer, when the place is sparsely rented, there is no cable TV. I provide the Apple TV device as a convenience so summer renters can stream anything from their phone/ipad/computer onto the big screen. During winter months, however, when the place is more widely rented, we turn on YouTubeTV with live programming (a $70/month value) so that renters can enjoy normal TV if desired.
My friends and I have been doing an annual ski trip every year for almost the past decade. We stayed at a variety of different houses at different mountains. David's place is by far one of our favorites. It has all the amenities one looks for. Great kitchen, spacious boot room and living room, ample beds and bathrooms. By far the best aspect is the location. Great ski on/ski off, just feet from the chair lift that will have you to the main mountain areas in minutes. Finally, David was a pleasure to work with. Super communicative and had great tips. Thanks to his advice, my friends and I had a great last run home on Solitude. Overvall, great experience and one I am hoping to recreate next season!

Amazing well-equipped and situated unit for ski vacation
It is clear that the owners have given a lot of thought to making the guests feel comfortable and welcome. The apartment was very clean, with a well stocked kitchen, lots of towels and bedding. It is very spacious with a nice living space (and big TV). There were 3 nice sized bedrooms and bathrooms.
Prior to arrival, a email with detailed instructions and useful tips helped us plan our trip. Upon arrival, a phone call from the owner to the unit made us feel welcome and gave us a chance to ask any last minute questions.
The intermediate and advanced skiers in our group enjoyed being able to get on the ski lift right next to the unit. Otherwise, bear mountain base lodge was a quick drive away. The beginner skiers unfortunately had to make the 10-15 drive to the ramshead and snow shed for the gentler slows.
We also enjoyed the fitness center next door with the hot tub, indoor pool and gym.
Otherwise, it was one of our best stays in killington.

Thank you so much!! You were wonderful renters. Please come back again. By then, I may understand the new honeaway program. We love Killington and are so happy when others enjoy it too!!
David was very helpful with great communication and the condo was in perfect condition (perhaps because it is their home away from home). Seriously, it had everything we needed from a crock pot, to a coffee grinder. Everything was updated. Three showers and three bedrooms was also nice. We had the coldest weather (-21) and it still stayed very comfortable. Unfortunately, the cold weather left only like 3 lifts operating at all of Killington, so the lift servicing the condo building wasn’t running, but on the day we left when it got warmer it was operating and would have been about 20 steps to the trail. The weather was terrible, and David felt bad for the skiing we were missing out on, so, since he didn’t have a booking for the next day he offered to let us stay an extra day if we wanted (our group’s travel schedule didn’t allow it though). The indoor hot tub, pool, sauna, and steam room were in the building next door, which was very convenient - and they have a locker room, so you don’t have to walk in your swimsuit :-p
Awesome !! Great location , Great Condo , Great owner .
Condo was beautiful and spacious , We were two couples and children . Skiers of all levels . The lift is 100 feet from the front door and free ( there are 3 short beginner hills to ski from the top for free . 2 bring you right back to the lift and one will bring you to bear mountain lodge . Were you can continue on to the other locations on the mountain with a lift ticket . The sunrise and bear cub were perfect for the kids to get out for just a few hours on days they wanted to , swim , play in the snow , tube etc. without the expense of lift tickets . And the Bear claw took the adults for an easy ride down to the Bear mountain lodge for a drink ( you have to find your own way back unless you have a lift ticket for that day but there was a shuttle there at one point that took two in our group back to the condo ). The location also allowed for the more experienced skiers to ski back home while the children and less experienced skiers took the car back from ski school .There is a small bar / restaurant right outside your door , We did not have the opportunity to dine in the restaurant but did grab a quick drink . The pool and fitness center were great as well . Also located in same building next door . David the owner left us with a packet with all the information you could ever need and was always available if needed . We can’t wait to get back and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else !!
My family had a great week. Our first reaction was that the place was actually nicer and larger than we expected from the pictures. It was trivial to get on the trail in the morning and to the sunrise lift. Most days we skied back for a comfortable lunch with the boots off. My wife doesn't ski, but was able to take advantage of the sports center next door.
The owner (David) was very responsive. We had an issue with the water heater during our stay (even well maintained stuff breaks occasionally), but David had someone there and it was fixed within a couple of hours, even on a holiday weekend.
The showers confused us at first: you have to pull the control out, away from the wall to turn the water on. It worked fine after we figured that out.
My wife and I brought our two boys, ages 6 and 3 to Killington for a fun family ski vacation. We couldn’t have been happier with our condo or our host David. He provided great information upfront on the condo and surrounding area which was especially helpful for us as first timers to Killington. The condo was clean, fun for kids and located close to Killington resort with was a great benefit when our kids were exhausted from a day of ski lessons. We’d definitely stay here again.
Could not have been easier to rent and enjoy. Having a code for the door and just being able to show up is very convenient. The owner was very responsive. The condo is in excellent shape and is as close as you can get to the lift at sunrise and also the sports center. The only negative was the beds outside of the master. The master bedroom was very comfortable but the other rooms, the beds are not comfortable at all. By the end of our stay, our kids were sleeping on the couches in the living room. Everything else was excellent and would definitely rent again.
David communicated fast when I had questions, provided valuable and accurate info about the area regarding hikes and activities and the place felt premium all around. I will definitely want to stay here again.
My wife and I rented for the month of August and the home had everything we needed. We were close to great golf and after a long day we could walk over to the heated pool and relax until dinner. I would highly recommend renting here.
Love Vermont !!
Great house, close to hot tub and pool which worked out great for the kids and us. My only suggestion would be to have a fan available when the weather is hot and sticky like this week.

Hi Jim,
There are ceiling fans in each of the three bedrooms plus a fourth in the living room. Are you referring to a different type of fan?

We stayed here for a family vacation and it was perfect for our party of 8. The condo was super clean and very comfortable. The gas fireplace was cozy and warm after a day of skiing and we cooked up a storm in the well stocked kitchen. 5 Stars!!!
Everything in the home was in pristine condition and the kitchen was stocked better than in any home I've ever rented. The homeowners communicated very well before and throughout the trip. The location was great - out the back door, up a tiny hill and then a couple hundred feet to the lift. Fantastic experience - this is the best place to stay!
This condo was great! The owner was awesome with communicating with me through everything. It is fully furnished has all the necessities and cookware to eat in. Is also right next to the sunrise lift and is a true ski on/ski off! Absolutely amazing stay and would definitely stay there again.
Nice, clean space and great location. Very comfortable for my group of 7 adults. 2 minute drive to bear mountain parking lot if Sunrise lift isn’t open. David the owner was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again
David and his wife were very responsive to our needs and concerns and everything was taken care of in a timely manner and the house was beautiful and I checked in just to make sure everything was okay with definitely stay here again
Completed in 2005, this 3 bed/3 bath condominium was exactly what we were looking for: convenient, spacious, and modern.
What makes this property unique
The most unique benefit you get with staying at our unit is convenience to the ski-lift and fitness center. You are 50 feet from each and no other building is this close. Why is this important? You can park your car and never need it again. You don't need to skate to the base of the ski lift or cross any roads. The kids can walk to the fitness center (a HUGE convenience) and enjoy a pool, sauna, fitness, hot tub, and restaurant. The full size kitchen is modern and elegant - granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, gas stove. The gas fireplace produces heat and isn't messy or dirty. Every room has its own attached bathroom for privacy and convenience.
