About this property
A beautiful couple's retreat immersed in nature and creek views!
Half Moon Cabin is a romantic outdoor escape in the heart of Red River Gorge. Just a stone's throw away from Natural Bridge, Miguel's Pizza, and much more. This cabin has been newly renovated and lovingly restored using recycled and locally sourced materials, and features modern amenities.
Features:
1 Bedroom
Kitchenette
Private Deck
Fire Pit
Outdoor Seating
Free On-site Parking
Private Trails
Scenic Waterfall
Our new tiny space is situated near the center of the Red River Gorge, alongside the headwaters of the South Fork of the Red River. This exceptional stay offers beautiful views through the window wall or the deck overlooking the creek. It is perfect for 1 or 2 people looking for a relaxing getaway.
The home is furnished with a full-size mattress that can comfortably sleep two. Please remember this space is less than 150 square feet. So bring someone you love! :P
Inside the kitchenette, you will find a variety of items, including silverware, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, and mugs. We have also provided extra items you might need during your stay, including salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, a coffee maker, a kettle (note that the sink in the cabin only provides cold water), an induction plate, and, of course, a bottle opener. There is also a mini-fridge to keep any beverages, bottles, cans, and food nice and cold during your stay.
Guests may access a private fire pit located behind the cabin if they need to cook something too large for the induction plate or want to cozy up and enjoy a fantastic view of the stars. (PLEASE NOTE: Guests should be cautious when using the fire pit. If it is too windy or you don't trust yourself to light and extinguish a fire safely, please don't make one.
We haven't forgotten about the "bear" necessities! A private bathroom contains a toilet and an open-air heated shower. Guests must access the bathroom from the deck.
[BE ADVISED - during the winter, the bathroom is equipped with a camp toilet and is not heated. If you're like us and occasionally need to take a midnight trip to the restroom, please plan for the weather during your stay. Additionally, the shower water heater is unavailable on days with temperatures below freezing due to the potential for damage to the heater. During warmer months, there will be a hot shower and a standard flushable toilet.]
While this cabin may be small, the adventure is anything but! Guests have access to the cabins' land, including a private trail that runs behind the glamping site and continues upstream to a woodland clearing where the creek turns, boasting a secluded waterfall. The entire property is yours to explore and enjoy.
If you like wandering under the canopy of pines, spruce, and oak, and waking up to the sound of the babbling brook, then this is the place for you.
We have loved transforming this small but mighty cabin and hope you enjoy your stay at Cave Creek!
