- Please be aware that seaweed is a natural phenomenon that hits Quintana Roo beaches, especially during the summer months (Apr-Oct). While the local team at El Faro and the municipality do a great job in cleaning it up, it can affect your ability to enjoy the beach and the ocean, so please make yourself aware of the current state of the seaweed, as we cannot offer refunds for issues related to seaweed.

- The central location of this property gives you access to the best that downtown Playa del Carmen has to offer. Due to our location next to restaurants and bars, you may experience some noise at this location. We do not offer refunds for noise issues. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy your stay!

-The beach in front of El Faro will come and go seasonally, at times the ocean comes all the way up to the deck and the common area administration will block this area for security purposes. Please exercise caution and comply with any common area association rules.

- Your booking automatically includes a damage protection policy. Should any minor accidental damages occur during your stay, we will cover you up to $1,000. We understand accidents happen, so we've got your back! However, if we determine damage was willful or negligent, we will charge an additional cost based on the damage itself.

- We have a no-tolerance rule about parties and loud noise, so please be aware that complaints from neighbors, notifications from authorities, notifications from our noise monitoring software, or any other proof of disruptive behavior or loud noise between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM will result in fines of up to $1000.00, possible eviction and / or possible legal action if authorities are involved.

-The beach condition changes every day, weather and hurricanes tend to affect how wide the sand area is in our photos- sometimes the water reaches up to the deck.

- Please note that due to El Faro's security protocols, before your arrival, we will request a photo of each guest's ID that will be at the property during your stay.

This is actually a 3 bedroom condo with two full bathrooms. Wal-Mart and grocery are nearby so you can cook many of your own meals instead of going out for every meal. Starbucks is a block away. Centrally located and well managed. Wonderful property, we would definitely go back.

Fantastic all-around!

The condo was perfect in terms of cleanliness, decor, essentials, and location to the pool/beach and 5th Ave. Did not hear any outside noise whatsoever. The property management was amazing in their responses to our questions/issues. I highly recommend this unit and the complex itself. Thank you for making our two-week stay so enjoyable! We stayed in a first floor, 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. At first we were skeptical to book on the ground level but it was very convenient for the pool and beach area. Ordered take out from Zenzi a couple of times and ate on our patio area. The condo was beautiful and the staff works very hard to keep it that way. Security staff was also very friendly and always visible. We will definitely be back..... as for 5th ave. which is a minute from condo, its like a festival with great shopping and many restaurants 7 days a week....highly recommend Xel Ha park and Chaak Tun Cenote.

Five Great Weeks!

We were fortunate to spend 5 weeks at ElFaro. We have previously rented here, but this was the first time we rented Coral 101. We could not have been more pleased. El Faro is a beautiful complex with an exceptional staff, from reception, to maintenance, to security to housekeeping! The location right on the beach and two blocks off 5th Avenue is perfect. The unit we had was well furnished, clean and well maintained and steps from the pool. Covid precautions were evident throughout and we always felt safe. Reservations were easy to make and responses from Naomi were extremely timely and helpful when booking. We can’t wait to return next year!

Great Place, Great Price, Great Location

This two bedroom was as advertised. Great size. Bottom floor was perfect to walk out to the pool and beach. Everything you needed was there and you can't be the location a block from central 5th ave. The only problem was that I asked for hand towels and it took 5 requests to 4 people to finally get them after two days. Minor but we needed them and they should have better service with that. Otherwise, no complaints! I will certainly stay again!

We really loved this property. The location was great and right on the beach. You can sit outside and see the beautiful pool and the ocean. The beach is super close and within walking distance. There are security all around, who are super friendly that made us feel safe and any time of night. You can walk across the way to restaurants which were super tasty and get right to 5th avenue for shopping. Starbucks was a few buildings away. The only negative was the clubs nearby that play loud music until 2am. You can barely hear them in the condo but if you like to stay up late and hear the ocean while you're outside, you have to get really close to the water. The condo itself was 2 bedrooms. One bedroom had a pull out bed as well underneath the bed. Super clean, lots of seating, and everything you could need for cooking. We loved this place and would totally stay again!

This place is outstanding! My family of 5 (husband, wife, 17yo, 9yo and 2yo) spent 8 days here and it was one of our best vacations yet. We can't say enough good things about this place. It had a great patio, awesome views of the pool and ocean, it's roughly a minute or so to Fifth avenue, tons of scuba places right around the corner, I could go on and on! They even have a few beach toys for the young ones. It was just the right size for our family. It was also nice and quiet at night (several light sleepers in our family). We truly loved our time here. The next time we come back to Playa, you can get we are going to try and book this condo again! Thanks so much for letting us stay in your home. The Prince Family. Two small things. Some sort of guide on how to work the satellite TV. We had a computer and movies so no big deal, but others might be annoyed. I realize most people eat out all the time on vacation, but maybe a few more cooking utensils, specifically baking (entrees) items would be awesome. Neither would give us a second pause about coming back, just things we noticed.

Beautiful location

We loved the location whichbis waterfront. There are 2 clubs right next to hotel which I would recommend earplugs on the weekends. The bass and music is pretty loud. But it does end about midnight or 1. There is only one small change I would appreciate if possible. The actual AC unit in the bedrroms has a very bright digital reading. If it is possible for that to be dimmed it would be very helpful. It is too hot to sleep with air off but it is very bright and difficult to sleep without my eyes covered. The place was ok for 6 with 2 small kids on the sofa. But the pullout trundle and bed are pretty small. Bigger than a twin but a very small full size. Maybe 4 small kids could fit on it but not the teens or adults. We all.loved location, pool and felt safe w security on the premise. The management answered us quickly w any concern but I didnt ask them to help.dim the AC unit. Maybe they can look into that. Karina at desk was kind to keep our luggage before check in

Sheets and pillows have mouldy odors. There is a crack in the bathtub. Both bathroom floors are flooded after shower. Great location. Rooms are spacious. Free water cooler.
