The house was properly represented by the photos online and I found Nicholas the owner to be very good at communication. He got back with me very quickly after any text messages.
This was a great property, located in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to the downtown/river front to reach in 15 minutes. House was clean and had all the amenities. We would definitely come back!
This was a cute older home with a bit of a vintage vibe. The common areas were big enough for our family to gather for nighttime games. Kitchen was stocked pretty good. The bedrooms were good sized for the age of the property with closet space and televisions in each bedroom. Would definitely stay again here.
We would definitely stay here again. Quiet neighborhood. Had everything we needed. We would have liked a grill to grill out but other than that our stay was nice.
The home was cozy. It lacked curve-appeal. The yards were a turn off, but we couldn't do the yard because we had rain every day. Over-all, it was nice. We reported any issues we had we Host. All the yards in the area was well kept. The yards were we stayed took away from the nice home. SUGGESTION: PLEASE HAVE THE YARDS MAINTAINED BEFORE THE GUESS ARRIVE. THE YARDS WERE MENTIONED BY GUESS LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR. No photos this time to leave on Vrbo sight!

Thanksgiving Feast
This is a great up & coming area. Our family enjoyed our time together, although the listed dishwasher was not in the kitchen and its removal left the kitchen without hot water for cleanup. Would not recommend this property to any home cook; stick to take-out

Hey Virginia, we checked the hot water after your check out and everything worked fine. I wish you called and let us help you figure it out! Happy you had a good holiday with the family please travel safe !
The house was very spacious. Outside needed work, cleaned up. Inside the cleanliness was below acceptable. Had an issue with toilet leaking, he promptly sent someone to fix. Tiles in hallway broken. Second day coffee maker died, said needed cleaned, Im. Not cleaning someone elses coffee pot. Overall if Im paying close to 600.00 with taxes and fees, it should if been a lot more functional and cleaner

Lori, as soon as you told me of any problem i sent someone right over there within an hour. There was no issue and it’s clear you were picking at getting a refund. I paid $150 for someone to look at the toilet and there was nothing wrong, no leaks. You never mentioned a dirty coffee maker and if you did i would have sent someone right over again. We also can’t control the fees that VRBO charges so please do not fault us for that.
Our stay at the Oasis met our groups primary needs with clean bedrooms, comfortable beds and plenty of space to spread out. The photos certainly give the best impression as they should and do represent the layout of the house accurately. With time thou things do start to age and this is beginning to show a little. For example, the linens and towels are an assortment now. This is an easy fix and meant only to be a constructive criticism for those expecting to find what they see in pics. With our Spartan race schedule we elected to eat out but the kitchen appeared to be stocked sufficiently and ready for anyone up to the task. As someone else noted there is no dishwasher but that did not present an issue for us. The house is in a nice quiet older neighborhood with convenient access to I-10, restaurants and grocery stores.
Black mold in 2 bedroom ceilings was just the beginning
The house is a run-down old house that’s had a bit of renovation. Yard is not fenced in as advertised. Kitchen is nice. Rest of house is old and dirty. Daughter’s feet were black from going barefoot. Couch stained and smelly and our dog pulled out a stinky sock from the cushions. Shower curtain grungy. Broken mini blinds in several rooms. We left after 1 night. Owner wanted to send cleaner on day 2 but mold made it a no-go for us.

Tina, It is clear you just wanted a free stay. I am sorry you wanted a refund immediately but without proper issues there is nothing we could do for a refund. I offered to come and address anything that was wrong. The yard is not advertised as fully fenced in. We were physically there before your check in and none of these issues are accurate. There is definitely no mold but some areas could use a fresh coat of paint. I watched the cleaner sweep and mop the entire house as well so I know the floors were clean.
The neighborhood was quiet but the overall area seems a bit rundown to put it nicely. The weeds in the backyard hadn’t been cut, there was leftover food in the grill, the outdoor table & chairs were tossed around the yard & the mosquitoes were bad. At first sight the interior of the house was great but the house smelled like a mix of cigarette smoke, motor oil and dog. The dog smell was somewhat understandable since it is a dog friendly house but the odor was really pungent in the master bedroom. The master bedroom also only has one a/c vent located at the entry way & the room doesn’t cool effectively, so you have to turn the air down really low, in turn freezing everyone else in the house. Master bathroom a/c vent didn’t work at all and the shower head & faucet are very loose in the wall. Our comforter had dog hair all over it & the ceiling had cracks throughout. The house had not been deep cleaned in a while. There was dust and dog hair under the furniture, grime build up at the floor base of the bathroom sinks, a greasy handprint on the wall above the toilet, the dishes & utensils had food dried & stuck on them & the hall bathroom shower curtain liner was a little icky. The living room & guest room TVs use fire sticks but we were having to swap batteries from one remote to another because the batteries were dead. The master bed TV was connected to Roku but we had to use our own usb power block because the one it was hooked up to was no good. There was a vine growing throM
