I would not hesitate to recommend renting this property. The house, views, and access to Lake Michigan and Manistee are fabulous. To top it off the owner was very cooperative in answering any question that we had.

Could not get enough of the view.

Our family had a great time and loved everything that the house had to offer. Even our 1 year old granddaughter was so excited to go down to the beach each day. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay on the lake.

My family and friends greatly enjoyed our time at your vacation home. The beach was awesome. The steps are manageable, even by our 3 year old. Lots of toys and beach items. Your home was very clean and spacious.

Perfect getaway for family

We absolutely loved staying here with our 3 and 18 month old kids. The place had everything you could ever need to keep your kids entertained. They loved the tree swing and playing with all the toys and books at the house! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the views were amazing. The weather was great for beach activities but we walked down a couple times to enjoy the beach and views. The house is conveniently close to manistee and ludington for easy entertainment and restaurants. We loved everything about the house so much we extended our stay. Highly recommend renting this house for your next family vacation!

We had the most lovely time at this beautiful spot. The house was immaculate and the view was completely unbelievable. Stunning. Gorgeous. We lucked out with the timing (late may) because we were the only ones on the beach. It was private and heavenly. We were 6 adults ranging in age from 18 -90!

Had a great stay! Everything as expected and more. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. House comfortably fit 8 adults with sitting for all (dining and living room). Love the 2.5 baths. Bedrooms nice size with comfy bed. Has all the comforts of home. This is our second time staying both in December. Love the location, you can see the lake from the living room if you don’t want to go down to the beach. Lake Michigan is always a must see no matter the time of year. Definitely will be back!

Private peaceful quiet

The house is located in a rural area without close neighbors. It has a gorgeous view. The breeze off the lake allowed us to not need A/C which allowed us to hear the waves crashing. HEAVENLY! We were able to enjoy the view from the house and more particularly from the two observations decks particularly at sunset. The steps were a challenge for my bum old knees, so the observations decks were wonderful. The younger generation had no problem getting to the beach.

Family Holiday weekend

Had a great time, house was just as described. Plenty of space for 8 adults with all the comforts of home. Everything we needed for cooking was in the kitchen. Extra linens/blankets were available but not needed. Nice surprise to have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in showers. We did adventure down to the beach, very nice even in winter. Nice yard with lots of areas to sit and enjoy. Will definitely stay here again. Host was on top of things, letting us know about low batteries and sending someone to change so we wouldn’t get locked out of home. Super happy with home and host!

Fabulous Lake Michigan Home

This great Lake Michigan home is just as described in the listing. The pictures are accurate.We found the home to be very clean, well equipped, and with very comfortable furniture and beds. We were a group of 8, ranging in age from 5 to 69. There are quite a few toys for the young ones. Their favorites were the swing in the yard and the large "fish" kite that was a blast to fly on the beach. The house is in a very quiet area. My husband and I went for a 2 mile walk on the road and saw only 1 car! Beach walks were great and also rarely saw other people. There are about 95 steps to the beach, but it wasn't too hard with a couple resting spots along the way. The sitting area deck in the yard was the perfect spot for enjoying some beautiful sunsets during our 8-day stay. Angie was the perfect host! My questions were answered quickly and she followed up regarding our stay right after we left. I highly recommend this property!

wonderful getaway

My family had a wonderful week staying at this lovely lake house. The view of Lake Michigan was beautiful, with lots of spots out in the yard or on the porch or balcony to sit and enjoy the view and/or a book. There were a number of yard games and beach/water toys for kids to enjoy. We also enjoyed painting some rocks with the provided paint and rocks. The house was clean, beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Plenty of space for our family of 4 to spread out. The Starlink Internet service worked well, too. I'll miss listening to the waves roll in, but we very much enjoyed our stay!

Family vacation

We had a great stay. The house is beautiful, open living & dining areas with plenty of room and comfortable furniture. It had everything we needed and it was very easy to make ourselves at home. It was wooded, very private and we spent a lot of time in both patio areas. We knew there were 95 stairs to the beach but they were easier than expected and the beach was definitely worth it. The bluff meant we had a great view of the lake and sunsets.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s the best of both worlds, being on Lake Michigan but also in a serene forest atmosphere. We utilized the beach and fire pit every day of our stay. We loved it so much we booked again for next year!

Wonderful Lake Home

Manistee was a new adventure for us. It's a beautiful area from the small and quaint downtown to the beautiful dunes. The house on Freesoil was fantastic. Everything that you need to have a great, relaxing vacation. The house was fully stocked with everything from kitchen equipment to bathroom towels. All basic needs and more were met. It's a very well kept, clean home. They also have the added bonus of games, decks and outdoor furniture, a fire pit and a tree swing. We loved all of it and utilized every corner of the outdoors. The most fun was learning croquet and swinging on the tree swing. Finally the beach - while it's a steep decent and ascent guests have it all to themselves and the view is rewarding. We paddle boarded and kayaked and just sat in the sun. Saw bald eagles, deer and so much more wildlife. We collected rocks, sea glass and found some Petoskey stones and even left a few "Manistee Rocks" of our own. We truly enjoyed the overall experience and highly recommend this property.

Manistee Memories

This was our first time renting a Vrbo property, and it was all I dreamed of, and more! The property is magnificent! The house is beautiful, extremely clean, and has all the amenities we could possibly want, including little features such as games and toys and outdoor activities. We were pleasantly surprised at the various touches included both upstairs and down, right down to beach towels, pots and pans, bottle openers, and even salt and pepper shakers! You just need to bring yourselves and your clothes, and of course a swimsuit! The decor is stunning. And the views! There are two balconies, reached by all of the bedrooms, and several seating areas outside. We had wonderful campfires in the new fire pit, and even took a couple of showers in the new outdoor shower facility. The large and sunny beach is quite private, and of course, the sunsets over Lake Michigan are amazing. It’s a short drive into downtown Manistee, which is a quaint little town with good restaurants and shops, a first-run movie theater, and a really fun Riverwalk. I would highly recommend this property for anyone who would like a quiet getaway with a beautiful home, lots of amenities, and your very own sunset.
