The house was perfect for what we needed, Craig was quickly in contact whenever we needed him. He even found one of our guests lost wallet! We hope to stay there again.
My spouse, three kids, and two dogs very much enjoyed our stay here. The property is clean, quiet, and well-equipped. The lake behind the house is very serene and clean. My family enjoyed spotting deer while floating on the lake. Good proximity to Bastrop and two state parks full of hiking. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely time.
We drove in from Michigan for a short visit to Smithville/Bastrop and found this house to be quite lovely. The property manager was great to work with and easy to communicate with. The house was very comfortable and clean. Instructions left for house use were easy to follow. We will definitely consider this as a stay spot if/when we visit the area again.
The location is perfectly quiet & secluded area of Smithville & Bastrop. There is a unit upstairs with an individual being present. This is not a stand alone home or unit. There was no conflict or complaint but this did not seem clear. Ample sitting area in living room & kitchen table. Bathrooms clean and modern. Master bed was more of one twin bed & full size beds pushed together and keep separating during the night. It was a bit muddy coming in as the entrance is all gravel & dirt. It had been raining 2-3 days before. It was only iffy as we were on motorcycles, but we managed.
Accommodations were basic. Not enough dishes for party of six. Dishes were covered in dust and cob webs. Ants all over kitchen counter. Positives: quiet and secluded.
We recently stayed at The Lost Pines Lake House through VRBO and had a fantastic experience. The location was absolutely perfect, offering easy access to the nearby lake.
One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible level of privacy the property provided. It felt like our own secluded oasis, allowing us to truly relax and unwind.
Inside, the property was spacious and well-appointed. There was plenty of room for our group to spread out comfortably, and the amenities provided everything we needed for a memorable stay.
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend The Lost Pines Lake House to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of home.
The house was great for it group. Our small dogs liked the short walk down the trail to the water, we loved the peace and quiet of the location and the size of the house left us plenty of room to spread out. The host communicated well and was organized.
My only recommendation was that I wish the coffee pot was full size (we love coffee), and I wish I had known to bring my own paper towels.
The oven temperature setting did not work nor was there any TV channels available to use. Internet service was spotty. Living room and bedroom furniture was very worn. There was not a lot of near-by activities to participate in.
We had a great stay here. Unfortunately i accidentally only got it for 1 day instead of 2, and with us fishing we didnt get to it until late and headed out super early. Cleaning charge is high considering the space and time we were there, but for multiple days we would definitely go back
Some friends and I stayed here for one night after attending a wedding in the area. The house was very nice and very clean. There were six of us, and we all had comfortable beds to sleep on. I have zero complaints about our stay.
Check in and communication was top notch. Clean and comfortable house. We were on motorcycles and had a few challenges with parking due to a steep and rocky driveway but 4 wheels would be fine. We found a friendly neighbor that let us park on level ground.
