15 minutes to Eugene, 45 minutes from the scenic Oregon coast, and 20 minutes from the University of Oregon to watch the ducks play. The space

The yard is huge and has old growth apple trees in the back. There are neighboring Alpaca’s you can see!

The Country Retreat Home is on a septic tank, please do not throw anything but toilet paper in the toilet. When flushing the master bedroom toilet, please hold the flush a little longer!

We were in town for Nike National and this location was a nice place to stay and relax when we weren’t at the meet. Was close to wineries and hiking trails. Was a quiet neighborhood.

Very clean and comfortable home for Family Weekend.

This house is very comfortable and worked very well for our family weekend! We very much enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and pantry. The beds were very comfortable also. The home was very clean. Really enjoyed having some space to walk the dogs on the field. That was such a great bonus!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It’s an older home and doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside it’s clean and has a great layout with bedrooms on opposites sides of the house with their own bathroom. Great for us and my mom. Would stay again. Peaceful country setting and very good communication with host that went above and beyond to accommodate us.

Family reunion 2025

Booked the Country Retreat for June 18-21st for a family reunion in Eugene. Communication with the host was always quick, the rental was as described, beautiful home, there was 4 of us that stayed there, bonding with my siblings was 2nd to the family reunion, There was about 65 of us there for the reunion on the river.Getting a hotel is just more expensive, we would have needed 3 hotel rooms, It was nice that the 4 of us stayed together, played card games with some music and we eating breakfast and lunch together brought back childhood memories Veneta is not too far from Eugene and this rental is clean, private and easy getting around wherever we were going. I would definitely stay here again!

A Hidden Gem

A cute clean updated home. Spacious and I was pleasantly surprised that there were 2 full bathrooms since it is advertised as just 1! Thank you for providing lots of bedding and towels. Only thing, I wish there was more seating in the living room for a more comfy game night. But that’s just a want not a need!

The house was a very comfortable place to stay. We cooked all our meals at the house, everything we needed was there. I especially liked the full spice rack. My only small complaint is the yard. Theres multiple things in the yard that need to be picked up, and the lawn was high. It would also be nice since its dog friendly if there was a section of the yard that was fully fenced. The house is beautiful, and nicely updated.

Quiet home in the country

This is a quiet place to stay if you're looking to visit Eugene but not stay in the city. We had a few minor issues in the house, which we assume were isolated incidences, and the host was very responsive to our communications and intent on making things right. We appreciated the kid's books, bunk beds, and a few games, all of which made it very family friendly. The kitchen was well stocked and the check in/out procedures were simple and easy to follow. There are apples trees outside and llamas in the neighboring property, so a great taste of the country! The neighborhood isn't especially walkable if that's important to you. Overall, this house met our needs for a weekend away! We were impressed with the host's communication and desire to make it a positive experience.

Great little house in the country!

Our stay was really nice. The house was clean, the beds comfy, and the owner was quick to respond. It was our first time visiting Veneta. What a cute little town! I loved that is was only an hour to the coast and a mere 15 minutes to Eugene...it gave us lots of options to explore! The house has A/C, which was a nice bonus. There was plenty of room for us. The only down side was some of the furniture. The accents chairs aren't super comfortable. They're cute, just not very comfy if you want to lounge. That being said, we would stay here again in the future. Gene was super nice and quick in responding to questions. Thanks for a much needed get a way! We were so happy to leave the smoke and the 100+ degree weather behind for a couple of days!!!

Great location for Archery Event!

Let me start by saying the host was fantastic. Super polite, very professional, and kind. The place was clean and well manicured. The ductless split was a lifesaver in the hundred degree weather. I think the only downside was that when you closed your bedroom door at night when it was 100° outside, we couldn’t open the window because the screen had a hole in it. The hole was very small, but large enough to Let a mosquito in lol we had a couple flying and caused some ruckus that night but otherwise it was great. Will absolutely book this again when we need to come back to this archery tournament if it’s available.
