2 houses with separate kitchens sharing a small pool and various terraces. Upper house has 2 bedrooms, one with 3 single beds, the other a double. The lower, more recently done up house, has 2 doubles. The upper house bedrooms share a bathroom, the lower house has 2 showers and loos one of which is en suite. Great mattresses for good sleeps, excellent water pressure for hydra and nice showers.The views are wonderful but you earn them. Lots of steps up so you need to plan carefully when you leave the house as it is 20 minutes back up... you will be thankful for the pool when you make it!The mezzanine bedroom is a bit of a mirage. It overlooks the kitchen area so can't really be used as a sleeping area. The AC in the bedrooms worked well although the units covering the mezzanine and the kitchen area were not working whilst we were there.Overall a lovely 2 houses, 1 more basic than the other. High up overlooking Hydra and if it is views and tranquility you are looking for then villa helios is a great option. Plus the 2 houses and 2 kitchens make this a great option for 2 families holidaying together or for 4 couples.

This is a stunner. One of the most unique and spectacular lodgings that I have ever encountered. The pictures do not do it justice. There are several terraces strung between two houses. All rooms and private outdoor spaces are oriented towards a jaw-dropping view of the port and sea. I stayed with a group of architects and we all agree that the layout and decor are very well designed. You must be fit and able bodied to reach the villa. There is a 300ft vertical climb from the port with many steps. You will need to hire a mule to porter your luggage uphill. You will not regret the hike. And of course there is a private pool for a cool plunge after the effort. I hope to someday return!
