We had an amazing stay! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Wonderful Home away from Home

This home was exactly as described. It was conveniently located and in a great neighborhood. Our family enjoyed the open concept and watching movies in the spacious living room. The two additional bedrooms were separated from the main suite which was a plus for our family. Our host was very responsive and made check-in and check-out very convenient. We would definitely stay again if our travels bring us this way.

WARNING…I strongly recommend doing additional research on the neighborhood before booking this property. Unfortunately, that may be difficult because the property address is not provided until the day before check-in. For that reason, I feel compelled to share our experience.We were immediately concerned and uncomfortable upon entering the neighborhood. Those concerns escalated when we discovered that reinforcement locks had been installed on the exterior doors of the property. We have booked more than a dozen homes and have never encountered this before.Within an hour of arriving, we contacted the owner to explain our concerns and discuss possible solutions. Unfortunately, the only response we received was that we simply did not have to use the reinforcement locks if we didn’t want to. We found this response dismissive and did not feel that our concerns were being taken seriously. Ultimately, we decided that we were not comfortable remaining at the property and chose to leave and pay for alternative lodging.Our biggest issue was not simply that we felt unsafe staying at the property, it was the lack of reasonable customer service and willingness to work with us after we raised legitimate concerns.I am sharing this review in hopes of helping future renters make a fully informed decision before booking this property and potentially avoid the same experience and additional expense we incurred.

We respectfully request removal of this one-star review because the guest spent less than five minutes at the property and did not stay overnight. Therefore, she did not meaningfully experience the accommodations, amenities, cleanliness, location, or hosting services. The guest became uncomfortable after seeing an additional reinforced door lock and assumed it meant the neighborhood was unsafe. However, the lock is simply an added safety feature intended to give guests extra security and peace of mind. Our home is located in a safe, newer neighborhood, and many guests from our more than 100 previous stays have appreciated the additional lock. The guest chose not to stay and requested a refund. Because there was no issue with the home and the cancellation was based solely on her concern about the lock, the refund was not approved under the applicable policy. She then left a one-star rating despite not experiencing the property. We respect that the lock made her uncomfortable, but the review is based on an assumption rather than an actual stay. It may misrepresent the property and may not comply with guidelines requiring reviews to reflect a guest’s relevant, firsthand experience. Based on this experience, we would not recommend this guest to other hosts.

Home Away From Home

This home is cozy, nicely decorated, and very clean! The neighborhood is nice with friendly neighbors. Being able to utilize the garage was a bonus and added extra safety for me. I have already saved this home as a favorite and will be booking it (if available) for my next trip to the area!

Property was wonderful and would definitely stay here again. Very clean and plenty of room for the 4 of us. Having the garage to park our rental car in was nice also. Lots of grocery stores and restaurants in the area. Close to IAH airport and not to far from downtown. Owners communicated well and accomodated a special request that we had.

Convenient and Clean

Property was conveniently located for all we were in town to do. Property worked well for our family of 5. We enjoyed the big TV in the living area with seating for all. Having garage parking was convenient. All necessary items were provided and in good condition. Check-in was easy. Owner was easy to work with. Overall, the property worked well for our stay to visit family.
