This property was super clean and cozy, great open spaces and conveniences. We truly enjoyed this beautiful place and cant wait to return, thank you so much.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this very special residence on a 7-acre apple orchard for two months. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The 360-degree views were a bonus!! We highly recommend this eco-friendly residence... And pet friendly.
Lovely apple orchard home. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of our surroundings. It was a good location for our base during our trip. Close to the the Grand Mesa and in the little town of Cedaredge.
Large kitchen and living area. Great for a family getaway. Be careful not to leave the dog food bowl on the floor because you will wake up to ants.

Oh gosh I'm so sorry! We will look into that immediately. Glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise and happy we could accommodate you with your early check in request.
This was a great place for a family to stay! It had absolutely everything we needed and Eric, the property manager, was super accessible and helpful. Easy access to town, but still so private and secluded. My only suggestion would be to run a cleaning cycle on the washing machine, but it was so nice to have a washer/dryer with my little ones with us. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the private orchard retreat. The property is beautiful and the house was comfortable and clean. We were two families and two dogs exploring the Grand Mesa for a long weekend. The house was perfect for all of us and you can't beat the access to the Grand Mesa. We skied at Powderhorn one day and explored the Nordic trails another. The dogs loved running around the acreage and the hosts were friendly and accomodating.
There should be one change in the wording about describing the home. It should say one bed per room. The home was relaxing and very clean

Our description states "The master suite has a queen size bed with private bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and adjacent full bathroom" and we have pictures of each of the rooms, I'm sorry it wasn't ideal for you but we sure enjoyed having you, you were wonderful guests!!!
This sustainable home was comfortable, easy and esthetically pleasing. Hearing the rivulet at night, seeing stars, hanging out on a beautiful working farm (orchard) all soothed the soul.
Gate latching seems to be an art we did not perfect until the end of our stay! Sorry and thanks, Eric and Darlene!

Great property and house. Althought it was winter and the orchard was dormant, it was still beautiful. The home had lots of natural light with a wall of windows in the dining area. It was very close to the town of cedaredge with a sweet little downtown area, but felt like you were out away from crowds. The Mesa and activities it offers is also just a short drive. They were dog friendly and our lab had a blast playing fetch in the orchard. I would definitely come here again. Darlene is quick to respond with any questions you have.
We spent almost a week on the orchard with our pup, and it was wonderful! The house was fantastic - even nicer than the photos suggest. Comfortable and well-equipped. We followed the suggestion to open the windows and night and close up the house during the day and found that it stayed quite comfortable despite the heat outside. Our pup loved running through the orchard. The views are beautiful, including the star-gazing and night. We had several great conversations with Eric, who was a great host and resource. We hope to come back again!
What a special house and setting. Looking through a wall of windows and seeing the orchard spread out in front of you with the Uncompahgre Plateau on the horizon made our stay a very pleasant one. The house was well equipped with everything needed provided. The only negative was the lack of air conditioning. We were there during a heat wave with daytime temperatures in the middle 90's. Summertime visitors should be aware of this.

We're so glad you enjoyed the house and thank you for sharing such wonderful things! Just to let future guests know, the adobe construction of the house best holds cool air in during the day when the windows are left open at night and closed during the day. It is tricky to do coming in and out and we are sorry for the discomfort. There is also a ceiling fan that works quite well and 2 large fans in the bedrooms that can be moved around as well. Thanks again for your stay, we hope you come back again!

Such a beautiful and peaceful retreat with small town charm! The pond was non-existent when were there. Communication was given 4 stars because of VRBO who made it next to impossible to communicate with owner when we had some questions. We had to go through VRBO and not the owner directly. Fun place for a large group but be aware there are 2 queen beds, one futon couch/bed, and the rest need to sleep on large couch or air mattress.
We enjoyed our stay at Shady Grove and were impressed by how well stocked the house was, from hand soaps to spices. Many places we stay don't provide any staples, so it was a real treat to have a bit of salt for our freshly picked tomatoes. The owners are generous and understanding and will accommodate reasonable requests when possible.
We hope to return. Thanks, Darlene and Eric.
I am a member of The Sober Souls Motorcycle Club, every year we head to cederadge for the international serenity run!!! The town is so loving and welcoming. This property sit me and a couple brothers and our ladies perfectly!! It was close to the main road and just comfortable as can be.! I will be booking this house every year if it’s available!
Sure enjoyed our time at this property. Eric, our on-site contact, was extremely helpful and more than willing to make sure we were all comfortable. The property felt very secure and private. This home is accommodating for two families with children. Thanks again Eric, for all your help!
We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay. The house is amazing and was well stocked with everything you could need for a great stay. The orchard was beautiful and our doggo’s loved exploring the property.
