Chicory Cottage - Best place to stay near Yellowstone Park
Great house, lots of room. Just me and my husband stayed but the house had plenty of room for more. The house is a half a mile walk to the river with river access, about a 45 minute drive to Yellowstone park, great little store with a lot of options about 10 minutes away in Emigrant, with a local Bar/Restaurant that has really good food - you HAVE to try the sticky taffy cake! Overall the house was wonderful, it was a little dusty everywhere especially when the sun shine was coming in the windows, you could see it all over the kitchen counter items but not too big of a deal. There was a little dirt/crumbs on the floor in the kitchen and entry and the master shower still had some hair in the shower and on the floor but I chalk it up to just a bad cleaner. The sheets were clean, towels were fresh, dishes were clean, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, cleaning supplies and pretty much a full pantry, we only had to pick up garlic and a few other seasonings that we use to make a Montana steak! My only suggestions would be an option for a screened porch, Montana has a lot of bugs in the spring, at least while we were there and it was hard to sit out on the porch or go to the river without the bugs. Also, a suggestion to the host or owner, keep a few fishing poles in the garage, doesn't have to be anything special, if were staying a week or even just a few days a few cheap fishing poles would be nice without buying a tossing them before you leave. We'll be back, gorgeous!
