Very quiet, private cabin hidden away in the mountains. Had everything needed ,just pack your clothes and grab some groceries to enjoy a family meal grilled right on the porch! We watched the stars and roasted smores wrapped in comfy blankets while listening to the water fall just a few feet away. Perfect getaway to avoid the busy traffic of Asheville yet close enough to enjoy the relaxing ride into town to shop, enjoy the Biltmore (were pass members and were happy to be close enough to go 2 days in a row )or find new things to do in Hendersonville.

The cabin its self was very cozy and pet friendly, however there’s a lot of damage to the property around the house. Not the you can help that. But just to be clear the hurricane did a number on the property surrounding the cabin.

Lovely private cabin!
The view of the stream and the woods is so calming, and we loved how quiet and secluded the place is.
I was looking for a quiet place to relax and talk to God. This quaint cabin with a wrap around porch facing a small waterfall was exactly what I needed. Two friends joined me for half the week. We stayed on the porch playing cards and cooking on the grill. Great week!
Good location in the mountains away from the city!! Yet, not too far from downtown Asheville. Overall the house was ok! Could use some equipment upgrades..
More remote than I was expecting but the nervous drive up and down the mountain was more than worth it because of the enjoyment my granddaughters got out of playing in the waterfall! The deck/rockers were my personal favorite. Definitely could use some updating/tlc but was more than adequate for our short stay.

When we arrived we were greeted with the stitch of a dead animal… we found dead animal (mouse) on the kitchen floor! The bath towels all smelled of cigarettes. The smell from the rodent never left the house and we had to abandon our stay as we were worried our dog may get poisoned by whatever killed the mouse..Vacassa said they “walked through “ the house and is was ready for us…this was obviously a lie! I feel cheated out of a nice stay and my hard earned cash.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry your stay was disrupted. The property has an active pest control plan and was recently treated, and the home has now been thoroughly sanitized. We’re taking additional steps to ensure any odors are removed and appreciate your input as we continue improvements.
The cabin was cute, in a secluded location; and I love the little waterfall behind it. They were thoughtful in providing the soap and shampoo/conditioner so that we didn’t need to buy any. There’s a few family board games to play with too. My only complaint is that it didn’t look as clean as I’d like.

We hope to welcome you back again in the future!
Peaceful stay in a cabin in the woods. Overall good experience. Nice mini getaway. The running water from the falls was very peaceful.Wrap around deck was great.
We had an amazing time exploring the grounds, loved the babbling brook, making smores around the fire pit and the cozy cottage. Perfect place to come back to after a long day of adventures. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Overall, the cabin was fine. However, it was very musty and smelled of mildew. When we arrived, the dehumidifier was not on. We discovered that the sheets had not been washed since the last person had been there. The cabin appears larger and more comfortable in picture than it actually is. Parking was fine, the porch was nice and the beds were very comfortable.

The location is great but the inside needs updating…the bushes and trees are in much need of a trim!

Great weekend getaway
The wrap around porch and the waterfall did not disappoint. Truly the highlight of this location. We could even hear the waterfall inside. This was very private and peaceful but centrally located for several popular areas including Chimney Rock, Asheville and Henderson.
