Narrow alleys with the small and beautiful houses of Messenia nestle up to a medieval castle that is picturesquely extending to the sea like a sharp triangle on the southern Cape of Messenia. In southwestern direction of the charming village centre the sandy beaches Zaga and Memi are spreading along the coast.
The location of this residence is approx. 5km southwest of Koroni on a hill with some exclusive villas, in a quiet and cultivated atmosphere and is ideal for a holiday of sophisticated demands. The comfortable villa TÜRKIS with private pool is situated on a huge garden and nature property between oleander bushes, bougainvillea, pine trees and various Mediterranean plants, in a beautiful hillside location above the sea. From the villa Türkis you can enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view along the coast, towards the beaches Mami and Zaga, across the Messenian Bay up to the opposite coast of Mani and the impressive mountain Taygetos.
The furnishing of the villa is not luxurious, but stylish and well thought-out. Comfort, private sphere and spaciousness are the characteristics of this stone house in massive construction. The interior is kept in blue-turquoise with a Mediterranean atmosphere that is emphasising the sea view.
When you enter the holiday house you will immediately be taken in, by the pleasant room partitioning and the colourful design of the living room. A turquoise staircase leads to the open gallery with your private star observatory above the living room. The open kitchen is adjoining to the living/dining room. On both sides of the living room are well-separated sleeping wings with 3, respectively 2 bedrooms and the shared bathrooms. All rooms and the huge terrace have marble flooring and there is lots of space and light, a bright interior and large balcony doors on every side of the house. From all bedrooms and the living room you have direct access to the large circumferential terrace and the pool of the villa TÜRKIS. The terrace is fitted with two large, round marble tables and seating for the different times of day. There is one lounge suite with pergola near the pool and another one underneath a shading tree that can be used as a breakfast area.
A large pool and a lawn area with sunbeds in front of it and the fantastic view across the blue sea complete the picture of this wonderful residence.
The private fresh water pool (8 x 4m, 1,50m deep), year-round operation, non-heatable, invites you to a refreshing swim. Across the trees you can see the welcoming glittering of the sea.
Bathing towels are provided for pool and beach.
There is a large choice of beautiful, fine sandy beaches close-by, each with its own characteristics and attraction. Your “personal beach” is only 450 m away from the holiday apartment and has potential to become your favourite.
The close-by picturesque village Koroni with its port scenery, taverns and cafés make a nice change from the quiet and secluded location of the villa TÜRKIS. Especially charming are also the towns of Pylos and Methoni on the western side of Messenia.
