The Creek House is a retro-rustic getaway with luxury lodge touches and plush amenities (including free wifi and Roku TV) – all in an ultra-private creekside setting. This peaceful, fully equipped house features design with a mountain cabin feel that takes you back to a simpler time. Plus, you’re close to all the MANY attractions the area has to offer. In fall and winter, enjoy the sounds of a warm, crackling fire and the creek rushing outside your window, and toast friends and family in style, comfort and serenity. In spring and summer, fish from your wooden bridge, have dinner on the back rock patio and sit in the cedar hot tub. It's creekside and under the stars!

We are now trying to keep the CEDAR HOT TUB operational ALL-YEAR ROUND -- although we can never 100% guarantee it's use! It's new but can be very temperamental - especially in the winter.

The cabin was awesome. Being right next to the creek was so relaxing. Sitting next to the creek and nature watching was so nice. A winery was only 3 minutes away and shopping 15 minutes away. Also, a trail that led to a pond with a floating dock with chairs was a nice touch.

Superb location! Cozy cabin by a beautiful creek - amazingly peaceful. We are all our meals outside at the two different outdoor tables with the delightful sound of the creek as a backdrop. Saw Mallards, a Merganser Duck, Kingfishers, and even a River Otter. Enjoyed walking the little missy trail along the creek. A wonderful place - would definitely return!

This is a serine getaway with a direct connection to nature. Close enough to go out and eat one night and stay in and grill the next night. The charm of the cabin and the property are better than described.

Big Al’s Creekhouse was a beautiful cabin and an amazingly relaxing setting. The communication, check in and instructions book could not have been better. Cabin is nostalgic and comfortable, hot tub ideal and fire pit woodsy. Nice trails as well. The Appenzell creek the drifts by the cabin has a soothing flow, with active fish and is wonderful to just sit and let the world flow by. You won’t regret renting this place.

Big Al’s Creek House is probably the best vrbo property that I have used.Besides being a perfect spot right on a beautiful stream the owner is very sensible as far as keeping things easy and simple. There’s not 5000 complicated rules just treat the cabin like you would your own and you will have a great stay at Big Al’s

Very happy with our stay at Big Al's! It was the perfect getaway for my husband and me. The weather was beautiful, which made everything even better. The house was cozy and comfortable, and the hot tub was fabulous! We loved the picturesque pond at the end of the trail. It was such a peaceful spot. The 20 minute drive to Crystal Street was totally worth it for great food and treats. Cabin was well equipped.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with the Creek House the MOMENT I saw it. We have had our ups and downs together over the years, but I am still often mesmerized by its magic. :) With the twelve acres across the bridge, it's like living in my own little national park.

What makes this property unique

One of the things I love about this place is its location. There is a not-well-traveled road that runs in front of it, but there are no visible neighbors which means LOTS of privacy!
