We are delighted to present this unique property providing comfortable accommodation with private outdoor facilities for your holidays in the beautiful Lot et Garonne region of the South of France with easy access to the Dordogne too.

With easy access from Bergerac Airport we are situated in between the two popular Bastide towns of Villereal and Castillonnes and benefit from easy access by car. Public transport is not available to the property.

The popular, closeby towns of Villereal and Castillonnes provide weekly markets, shops, tourist office, restaurants, bars and events during the season.

Lovely Gite in Perfect Location

Gite Papillon provided the perfect base for our first visit to this part of France. Ideally located between several hilltop 'Bastide' towns this well equipped and stylish property offers so much. The owners were especially welcoming and provided a wealth of information to enhance our stay.

Another fantastic stay

We stayed two years ago and loved it so much we came back again. Lovely new pool and air conditioning in the main bedroom was needed as temperatures reached 40 degrees this week. We will be back again for sure. Also had great communication with hosts.

Lovely relaxing holiday

Beautiful and spotless. Truly an amazing week at the gite and cottage. Spent most of the time around the pool relaxing and enjoyed the short drive into Villareal a couple of evenings. Restaurant nearby is also very nice. Martin was great and we will definitely be back.

Honeymoon perfection.

Absolute perfection. House is perfect but the garden and bar area…..it’s real and you get to use it all!! Perfect for everyone as there’s always sun and shade to be found and various different things to do. We were literally out in the garden from morning until night having a wonderful relaxing time. Would 100% recommend to anyone with confidence they would have a fantastic holiday.

We can whole heartedly recommend this property as a great and comfortable place to enjoy a holiday, Gite and cottage were used by us, garden and pool could not be better. Host was excellent in having all our needs met and made sure to be available if needed. Great and clear communication. Fully equipped property, nothing was lacking. The location is great as a base to explore both the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne, with Bergerac within 30 mins away and Périgueux within an hour. Excellent experience.

Ensemble gîte et cottage qui permet d’avoir une autonomie / intimité pour un couple dans le cottage (chambre salle de douche et kitchenette). Literie de qualité, décoration et ambiance très agréables.Les intérieurs du gîte restent frais même sans utilisation de la Clim. Accueil et communication fluides et réactives. Les Extérieurs sont un gros point fort : piscine au sel 5x10 m toute neuve, immense jardin entièrement clôturé (notre chien a adoré), tables / parasols / plusieurs salons de jardin, transats, bar extérieur, jeux … le top vraiment !Nous avons beaucoup aimé merci pour tout

Over algemeen heel tevreden, doch het keukengerief is beperkt indien er met 7 verbleven wordt. Veel ruimte buiten en ideaal met hond. Mooie welkomstmand bij aankomst, waar ook aan hond werd gedacht. Heel vlot en positief contact met eigenaar, bij opmerking of vragen steeds onmiddellijk reactie en oplossing.Rustige, groene omgeving, doch wandeling met vertrek vanaf woning minder ideaal daar eerst een deel langs drukkere weg dient gelopen te worden.

It is disappointing that the guest has left a review about the size of a pot. Upon request for a larger pot. We ordered one straight away for next day delivery and advise the guests. The guests had gone out so missed the delivery. Within 24 hours our host provided the guest with a larger pot from our own home. If there is ever a wish want or need of our guests we respond immediately.

A wonderful getaway!

Despite the extreme temperatures, we had an enjoyable week at this wonderful location. The cottage and studio are both very nicely decorated with lots of extra welcoming touches such as a fabulous gift basket and plenty of drinks in the fridge. My teenage son stayed in the studio while the rest of us stayed in the cottage. The swimming pool with bar, seating areas and the new pool table were great and we used these a lot during the week. The dog was also very welcome. A couple of days before we arrived he had injured his paw, and Martin was really helpful on providing the details of a vet nearby. There’s some lovely villages and other things to see in the region. Unfortunately due to the heat, we didn’t venture out much. only going to see things in the morning before it became too oppressive, and then spending the afternoons in or near the pool. I’d highly recommend this place if you are looking to stay in the Bergerac region.
