Very comfortable, quiet, and large secluded waterfront property. Large open deck with BBQ overlooking the Nation River at the Ottawa River junction. Dock space for a boat with great fishing and scenery. 50 minutes from Canada's Capital Ottawa, Ontario. A large town with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Low traffic private road for walking and biking. Seasonal hot tub-available Oct-April. Riverside fire pit. Local restaurants with delivery , 2 golf courses, and Papanac zoo and Calipso Waterpark nearby. The property is located near the end of a peninsula, adding to the security. only local traffic from a couple cottages further down the peninsula.

Great place with view of the river. Very quiet. It’s a nice spot to watch the stars (and there’s a telescope). Very dog friendly! Host is also super responsive.

Great, quiet place to stay

We were fishing on the Ottawa River. This place was super convenient for meeting our guides and we really appreciated how quiet and peaceful it is. Eating breakfast and supper on the deck while overlooking the river was wonderful.

Great place for a short getaway

A beautiful place to stay with all of the amenties you could ask for. The property was immaculately kept and cottage was wonderfully stocked to make it feel just like home. Owner was so accomodating and a pleasure to speak with. Would recommend.

I took my two teenage boys and we had a awesome time. The fishing off the dock was great, and I got some much needed relaxation. If we needed anything the owner was right on top of things. I highly recommend staying here.

Great spot for R&R

Was an ideal place to get some peace and quiet for some much needed downtime. Rob the owner was super responsive and helpful. The place was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for convenience and comfort. We enjoyed doing some light exploring of the area as well. Easily accessible from Ottawa.

Quiet and relaxing stay

We stayed for four nights (our first time in the Plantagenet region, there for a wedding at Bean Town Ranch). It was exactly what we needed - a clean, private place to wind down and feel comfy. Rob was helpful and responded very quickly to our questions. Nothing negative to report!

We were thankful to meet Ron as well happy that this place allows dogs. It made our stay that much better by having our pup with us. Comfortable beds with a cozy environment. Kitchen was well equipped and fridge was stocked with plenty of bottled water. We will be back!

Peaceful stay beside the River

Quiet, calm, comfortable with ALL the amenities! I fell asleep laying on the garden swing under the shade of two oak trees, while my husband caught many fish from the dock - he didn’t keep any. It was blissful! This place offers everything you need plus peace and quiet. Stay here!

Enjoyed!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cosy private cottage. Description of cottage is as described in ad. We spent a lot of time out on the water in our boat we sat on the swings in the afternoon and watched the boats go by. I’m hoping to return next year for a full week.

Fully equipped home with everything needed for a quiet getaway. The property is on a beautiful piece of land that is within short driving distance to such incredible views! Despite the heat we did catch fish off the dock. Thank you for an enjoyable experience

nice cottage

a nice cottage, nice ambience, comfortable and attractive indoor furniture. Good wifi. Good communication with host. Cottage is having some small renos done, but does not suffer for that! pretty sunsets, nice river view.
