Fabulous property for family reunion

We loved our stay at Far Horizons. The view from the huge balcony was spectacular- over a canopy of trees. It was perfect for morning yoga and evening cocktails. The house was immaculate and spacious. Hosts made the stay easy and seamless! We will return!

Outstanding Property

We were 2 parents, 3 children and spouses and 4 grandchildren ages 4 to 7 - a total of 12 people! And the property was absolutely outstanding for our weekend stay. The house is SO spacious, and the amenities are tremendous - beautiful deck with view of the Ottawa River and forests, hot tub, and a gorgeous outside patio that looks like a castle. Absolutely everything you need is in the house - we only needed to bring our clothes. And Jennifer and Greg were the ultimate hosts, doing everything they could to accommodate our needs, including early check-in. Thank you to both of you!

Une vue imprenable sur Montebello. Chalet confortable, décorée avec gout. Bien équipé, il ne manque de rien. Par contre, nous n'avions pas reçu le bon code d'acces pour la porte d'entrée. Nous avons dû attendre une (1) heure au froid avant de pouvoir entrer. En hiver il y aurait dû avoir quelqu'un pour s'occuper du déneigement du stationnement et des escaliers. Ce serait à corriger

Bien que nous apprécions la frustration, le client a reçu le bon code de porte mais l'a saisi de manière incorrecte trop de fois (le processus était différent de celui qui lui était familier, d'après ce que nous comprenons) et avait besoin de temps pour se réinitialiser - nous leur avons donc donné un autre code qui était également programmé dans le système (nous en avons toujours deux pour cette raison). Toutes les zones de neige ont été déneigées à l'arrivée des clients (jour de) - le week-end, nous avons reçu une énorme tempête de neige (bombe), un système très inhabituel qui a rendu le retrait difficile. Nous laissons des pelles et une souffleuse à neige aux clients afin qu'ils puissent enlever la neige eux-mêmes si nous ne pouvons pas suivre. Le client n'a pas appelé concernant des préoccupations concernant la neige.

Fantastic views comfortable space

We enjoyed our stay at Far Horizons. The younger kids used the hot tub like a pool. Lots of space for our group. 4th "bedroom " is in the basement so we didn't use it. The "loft" is a finished attic which also wasn't practical for families with kids but we didn't need it at all. Deck was awesome and the view was incredible.

Perfect escape

Well located on a Hill Side, view on the river and sunrise. Lot of room to sleep, classy, confortable and the hosts are realy Nice and easy to join. Also, the Spa is half inside the Chalet, which is Nice to cut Montréal of the wind in the winter. I recomand !

My husband is a firefighter and I am a supply teacher. No matter what we are doing, we like to be together. Our children are 10 and 11 and Far Horizons is the perfect spot for us to enjoy both outdoor and indoor activities year round as a family. The children love it here, and we always feel like we are on vacation when we come.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I fell in love with Far Horizons from the moment we saw it. Upon the purchase of Far Horizons, my brother Jeff dedicated this home as a place where dreams come true and lasting memories are created. We encourage each visitor to leave something small but meaningful of themselves for the next visitor to enjoy. We are grateful to have the opportunity to share this dream of ours with you. We hope you enjoy it.

What makes this property unique

We really enjoy coming to Far Horizons just to relax. It is so beautiful we feel privileged each time we come. We love to throw on our skis in the winter, and just ski out through the woods and across the golf course. We enjoy taking the kids down to the Chateau Montebello for a swim too, although we take part in many activities there. Once the kids are in bed, my husband and I really enjoy just lounging in the hot tub, or sitting in the lounge chairs in front of the large living room window with the lights out and the fireplace going just enjoying the view.
