This excellent beach front home is a favorite of many return guests. Features include; 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, cookbook library, ceiling fans, screened porch with picnic table, great sundeck and deck chairs, and a private boardwalk to beach. NO SMOKING, NO PETS. Amenities: Smart TVs, 2 VCRs, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, Coffee Maker, Grill, Outside H/C Shower, Fish Cleaning Table and more.

Deck was unsafe, kitchen floor was unsafe, bathroom floor in hall way was unsafe, there is no lighting at night around the stairs, not handicap friendly...

My family is huge, and we all grew up coming to SGI. This was our first trip as just the “kids,” and the house was perfect for what we needed — seven twenty-somethings looking for an affordable beach weekend.Things to note:- The deck is bowing a bit, but part has been replaced, so it seems the owners are keeping up with it.- Some loose nails and missing wood on the railing — not ideal for little ones.Deck and stairs are very splintery, so shoes were a must.- The guest shower leaked across the floor, so we all used the master bath (fine for a short stay).- WiFi went out on day two, so we used a hotspot to stream the Miami/FSU game.Positives:-Perfect layout and price for a group trip.- A/C worked great.- Beautiful patio and a super short walk to the beach — huge plus!- Excellent location close to town and right on the water.- Newer laminate floors and labeled light switches were nice touches.Overall, it’s an older home that shows its age but has great charm and everything we needed — clean, comfortable, and in a prime spot. We’d definitely stay again for a relaxed, low-key beach trip!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This beach house is perfectly located and is very comfortable but it could use some updates. The electrical is a little hodge podge and it would help to have the switches labeled. Also, many light bulbs were out throughout the house. Other items that would improve the stay - some basic house info - like how to use the tv; improved WiFi; and a tablecloth (the table is VERY sticky; it seems like the wrong cleaner was used and the varnish is now sticky).

The location was fabulous. Having stayed in many VRBO properties, I found this property had only a minimum of kitchen offerings. Few pans, only 1 garbage bag, no foil, or salt/pepper, for example. The oven was dirty. It would have been nice to have beach chairs and towels… that all shared we had a great time on St George Island.

Our disappointment was the deferred maintenance of the property. Luke warm water in the second bath, kitchen sink faucet not stable, lounge chairs broken, one trash bag! For almost $500 per night I expected a little better.

Suncoast allowed us to put groceries in the refrig. The rental company was very good. No other rental company had allowed this before. The colors were bright and friendly inside. Furniture was clean and comfortable. The only downside were no internet and steep stairs. Hard for older folks like us. The screened porch was our favorite place all week. We will be back.

That itself should be comment enough to let you know what we think about this house and beachfront location. The amazing view and the easy private access to the beach just a few steps away from the deck are my favorite parts of this property. I also really like the layout and decor. The property was also very clean. Check in and out were super easy and the staff I spoke with were very friendly and helpful.I do wish the owners/managers would up their game on maintenance a bit. The wooden outdoor furniture is getting quite rickety and should be replaced. Also, one of the sliding glass doors had a partially broken handle which made it difficult to use that door. I will give an overall rating of a 4 and only for this reason of needing some maintenance. Everything else is a 5.

The house itself was fine in general, just a few issues: Very much in need of updates. 2 burners on the stove need replacing, the sliding door was so difficult to open, there is no way a child or elderly person could open it, also, the handle is about to break. The decking was very dangerous, especially for children, some spindles missing with nails sticking out, some loose. The hand rails going to beach not child friendly. The house would rock when the wind was blowing hard, so much that it was difficult to sleep.
