Just Moments from the Fun

Place could use some updates, but accommodated our family's basic needs. Loved the proximity to all the great things happening on the mountain. Especially enjoyed not having to leave furry family members at home

Fantastic family getaway

This was our second visit to Wintergreen and we will definitely rent Mountain Escape again. An easy 1 mile drive to the Mountain Inn with easy drop off/pick up for skiers. Great space, clean, stylish, and many thoughtful details including a pantry full of all the things you might forget including coffee! Plenty of firewood. We will be back!

Great gathering spot!

We all live in different directions and this property served as a perfect gathering space for the Christmas holidays! Kitchen is fully equipped and bedrooms are completely comfortable. We were worried about the amount of stairs for our elderly, but everything worked out. Hosts are very responsive! Thank you!

Weekend Ski/Tubing getaway...great spot!

Chose "Mountain Escape" for that very reason...to escape to the mountains for a quick weekend trip to squeeze in some skiing and tubing. We enjoyed our stay and loved the location and ease of working with the host. It ended up being a ice storm, but the host and resort staff were ready. Host had salt ready for the occasion. Didn't miss a beat. We would highly recommend visiting Mountain Escape!!

Perfect location

Perfect location - We were just a couple of minutes from the slopes and Unbeknownst to us right across the street from a golf course which had miles and miles and miles of trails that was beautiful and quiet and well-maintained. Alexandra the owner was accessible and very ready to help in anyway we needed. The house served us perfectly. We had seven people and it was excellent for us. We wanted for nothing.

This property is unbelievably amazin. Truly, I have no words it’s gigantic, It’s so well appointed everything is beautiful from the wine glasses to the dishes to the appliances to the floors to the way it’s decorated to how there’s nothing that you need when you’re there, it’s located in a perfect spot. You can hike if you’re a hiker You can drive to the market if you need to, (heck you can walk it’s a little bit of a hike, but it’s a beautiful ) it’s close to the aquatic center, a market, 3 Restaurants & 2 pizza joints. they have thought of everything! The fireplace is cozy and romantic, and there’s plenty of firewood. Just be sure to follow all the instructions because they leave them in detail which is super helpful. The area is quiet. It’s just gorgeous. The home was to be honest way too much for two people, but it didn’t matter. It was romantic. It was fun. I love the decor.! Everything was comfortable. The beds were perfect - even though we only used one! This is a true gem. We hope to return with some friends because it would be a great place for family or couples that wanna just go ahead and have a good time and get away. There is not one thing I would change about this place. It was top notch, and I feel honored that we were able to stay there. We definitely hope to go back soon. The owner ms Alex is fantastic to work with - very thorough. Very responsive very kind. There’s truly nothing you will lack going there. She has thought of everything. 10000000000 stars

Great layout for multiple families/guests

The house was clean, sleek and well decorated. The first floor (up one flight from driveway) was very livable, the 2nd floor had a master bedroom, and a queen bedroom + twin bedrooms with shared a bath. The 3rd floor also had a master bedroom. All were comfortable. The host was receptive to our needs, and even had a mixer delivered so that I could make the family recipe for Thanksgiving. They also quickly responded to a question or two. The bedroom closets were large, but had no storage. We would have liked a chest of drawers or some kind of modular to put our clothes on. We also struggled with the Roku TV, trying to watch football games on Thanksgiving Day. All in all it was a good stay. Thanks for your hospitality!

Perfect peaceful mountain hideaway

I stayed at the property for a month in the Fall, and couldn't have been happier! The location is ideal - very close to hiking trails and all Wintergreen has to offer. The hosts are outstanding and responsive, and provide the best stocked amenities of any rental property I have seen yet. I can't wait to stay her again (with my dog)!
