Everything was as expected and more!! It's a beautiful, well equiped home, in a perfect location. We spent a wintery month visiting with our family and friends, playing games and having big family meals. We couldnt have been happier! Kate was wonderful!
Found this southwestern Cape Cod inland home with plenty of space for a family of five just a few weeks before our vacation. Close to beaches, restaurants and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard which was a wonderful day trip.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is so wonderful for groups! Plenty of room and ability to have your own space even with a group. Extremely clean and great amenities!
We had a great time at the Cape! The house was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. Kate responded quickly to a question and made us feel at home. Thanks for sharing your lovely home for our family vacation!
I booked this home for a beach gathering with a large group of friends and it was absolutely perfect! The home is very clean and comfortable and had nearly everything we needed for cooking big meals together. I loved the deck as well as the close proximity to South Cape Beach. I would definitely rent this home again.
Large house. Great space. Fun for the family. Fun amenities- we had my family in for my son’s graduation. It was the perfect space that allowed us to spread out and also come together for larger dinners
Overall, we enjoyed our time in Mashpee for a family trip. House was clean and had plenty of room, nice sized yard and fun amenities for family games. Listing was misleading by saying that there were 4 bathrooms (I think this is how VRBO calculated them, not the owner). There are only 2 full bathrooms and one half bathroom. There is also an outdoor shower. Also, the listing shows Air Conditioning under ‘Amenities’ but there is no A/C, only individual cooling units in 4 of 6 bedrooms. It was in the 80’s during our stay, so the few fans that were provided didn’t cool the house down very much.
Overall it was a great stay. Near Mashpee Commons, but a longer drive to other towns, obviously. Very clean house, well-maintained.
A couple of things that I liked:
The in-room air conditioners which did a great job keeping the bedrooms cool. They were quite noisy, but that worked for me, as I like a steady sound to drown out any traffic or nature sounds. If you don't like that, be prepared to cool on a different schedule.
The beds varied from soft to quite firm. I like firm, so I chose a bed that suited me.
Only negative was that the cleaning wasn't necessarily perfect, as a few small things were not taken care of. Nothing major.
I'd stay there again, overall very nice house.
Over all we loved the house. We did have a couple of concerns. The one bedroom in basement did not have clean sheets. It looked like the cleaning crew did not change the sheets. The first floor bedrooms and upstairs bedrooms had AC but the rest of the house did not. We used the fans constantly but it never felt cool in the house. All of the AC units needed to be drained of water during the week which was a hassle. Lastly, we were asked to wash our beach towels, which was fine, but laundry detergent was not provided. We had to purchase it our selves. The proximity to the Commons and the beach was great and the beds were very comfortable.
We couldn’t have found a better place for our family to stay in Cape Cod for our son’s wedding. It was close to all of our venues and activities and provided the room that we needed. The limited hot water was an issue but I think they are getting a bigger water heater. Also, there were no hair dryers, which wasn’t a big issue. All in all, we loved it. Thank you for hosting us.
The house was great and was perfect for our annual cape trip with friends and new young children. We’ll definitely be back. The host was responsive and very helpful.
This was a great NEW house with a good location and even better amenities. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to others.
