Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Upon arrival the house was very musty smelling and closed up. There was no garbage bag in the container and one left under the kitchen sink for a 5-night stay. The toilet was very wobbly. The washing machine made a very loud clunking noise in the spin mode, and the dryer had towels left in it. The dryer took 3 hours to dry 3 adult outfits after a day of riding. There were mice in the closet with insulation from a hole in the wall by the hot water tank and a dead bug in the "clean dishes" in the cabinet. The pots and pans had appeared to be thrown in the underneath cabinet with no organization. The grill looked like it hadn't been cleaned in some time. If you're looking for easy parking and great access up the road about 2 miles to the Pinnacle Creek Trailhead then this place is it, if you're looking for comfort of home, this is not it. I don't normally leave reviews but having rental property myself this is not the 1st impression I would want someone to walk into.
Location. Location. Location. 2 miles from of the best Hatfield McCoy trail systems and two miles from town. Nice big parking area and privacy from neighbors. Nice big grill too! House was practical for five adults. Owner responsive and helpful with any questions too.
This location was close to the Hatfield McCoy trail. Host is extremely helpful. The facility had everything you would need for a nice relaxing stay. Definitely would stay again.
Very clean and well cared for property. Location great for trail riding, short drive without trailering to both outlaw and Hatfield and McCoy. Also located with easy access to trout fishing. Great communication/response from property owner. Highly recommend.
Nice place to disconnect. Very close to trailhead to ride. Fishing across the road. BBQ out back. Thank you for lettings us enjoy your town and home for 4 days. Everyone was very nice and welcoming :)
If your looking for a getaway, to the Hatfield & McCoy's trail then look no further. The accommodations were nice, clean and everything was spot on as portrayed. The rate for staying in a 3 bedroom mobile home was reasonably-priced. Our only complaint was no cell phone service in the Pineville area.
This property is quiet, remote, close to town. Excellent access to the Hatfield McCoy Pinnacle trail head. Although it is along a blacktop road, don’t let that stop you. Very quiet in the evening with minimal ATV traffic. We arrived to an extremely clean and well stocked rental property. Beds were comfortable. Jackie was wonderful to deal with. Can’t wait until our next stay.
It was a great base of operations for riding all the trails connected to the Pinnacle Creek trailhead. It's perfectly located with the trailhead not much more than a mile up the road and the town of Pineville the other way a few miles where you can get everything you need including gas. The home had a large area to park our truck and enclosed 18' trailer. It could have easily accommodated a larger rig as well. Wi-Fi was solid and we were able to watch football on Saturday. We got plenty of use out of the large bbq grill out back. I caught a couple of fish in the creek within steps of the house including a river smallie. Jackie was great to work with. Would stay again for sure.
The property worked for what we needed it for but definitely needs some updates. The dryer took hours to dry 1/2 loads, the outlet that the washer was plugged in was blinking saying it needed replaced, the blinds in one of the rooms fell on us when barely touched and didn’t close all the way,my 3 yr old found a vape shortly after we got there, and the bathtub did not have a working stopper. If you plan to use the microwave, it has to be moved to an outlet because it won’t reach the one it’s closest too. If you plan to use the oven, bring your own oven mitts 😂 Did it have lots of room for improvement? YES! Would I stay again? Yes! It was in a great location, and I was only staying a few days.
The location is perfect for those wanting to do the Hatfield McCoy Trail systems. Felt like less than a mile to the Pinnacle Creek trailhead. Pinnacle Creek took us one day(6-6.5 hours) to do all the trails, then. The next day hit the connector to Indian Ridge (10 hour day). The road is busy that this place sits on, but it is close to town and the trails, so it works! Literally a 30 sec ride from rec fuel, diesel, and wash station. Also has occasional people out front fishing. So it's not as private and remote if that's what your looking for. The stairs seem tedious when your unloading/loading but after that it's fine. We loved the location, parking room, the amenities, wifi was great (you'll need it, no cell service with Verizon) and how amazing the host was! The host Cheyenne was very responsive and super sweet, we were so pleased with that, and really appreciate it! So recap- if your looking for secluded West Virginia luxury, this ain't it. If your looking for real, convenient, practical West Virginia trail riding experience, this is it.
Stay at Pineville location ended our stay close to trailhead which was awesome the house was clean the bathroom was stocked with towels and wash clothes, and the water pressure was Amazing overall great choice to stay the price to stay from Thursday till Sunday was very reasonable have no complaints 😊
Nice location. Enough room to park quads and trailer. Not far from pinnacle creek trail. Beds comfortable and shower head was wonderful. Would stay there again. Would be nice if there was shampoo and conditioner and a blow dryer 😉 I came unprepared which was my fault . Overall nice place. Jackie was very responsive .
This property was great! Very clean, cozy, and in a great location!! Plenty of parking, very private. Easy check in/check out, great communication from the owner. We will definitely stay there again in our next trip!!
