Absolutely loved our little family weekend in the mountains. The home was beautiful and the views were spectacular. The host was so sweet and made everything so easy! Made for a perfect and relaxing family weekend.

Great Property - nicely appointed!

Super cute remodeled Tehachapi cabin. Great location in golden hills. Comfortable beds, clean, and great views of the valley. The hosts were easy to get a hold of for questions. There aren’t a lot of good vrbo’s in the area so if you are looking for a nice family home with upgrades and good location- this is it! Would recommend.

Snowed in!

Well, no one was expecting to be snowed in for two days. We could not go anywhere. Property manager told us way too late that we could order from Albertsons. That certainly would’ve made things better since we did not bring food and could not go buy any. Managed to get pizza delivered at 11:30 am on Friday but it was too snowy after that. Cream and sugar for coffee would’ve really been appreciated. The experience would’ve been much different if we were prepared for snow and had time to bring supplies. The lighter was out of gas, so we only got the fire going by caring rolled up paper towel from the stove to the fireplace!

*ONE star for KARE. In my 10 years of hosting I have never reviewed a guest in a negative fashion. These guests did not know how to work a simple thermostat or use matches, etc. and left a negative review in return. They did not check the weather in the area before traveling. To not have the foresight to plan accordingly to the weather to where you are traveling, which is out of the hosts control, is disturbing. Our home is a 8 min drive to restaurants and shops. There is a Walmart, Albertsons, etc that are very close by and also deliver. We are seasoned hosts of over a decade and and do not recommend hosting her group. Other hosts should be aware of guests like Kare they might rate you low for weather in the area, and not knowing how to stay at a FIVE star rated vacation property.
