Built in 1904, this charming, historical home is located in the heart of Des Plaines. Long, private driveway makes parking a breeze! Large kitchen ( that was featured in Better Homes & Garden) with high end appliances, full dining room with 6 person place setting, living room/den with fire place, 4 full bedrooms, a sun porch and huge backyard with grill/patio set. Centrally located- 10 min to O’Hare airport, 20 min to downtown Chicago and mere minutes from local shops/restaurants

Des plaines was originally created to be a “vacation spot” for residents of Chicago looking to get away from the city. It has the feel of small town life but with all the amenities of big city living at your fingertips. You’ll get to enjoy nice walking paths and quaint parks, then hop in your car or on the train and head into the city for an adventurous night out!

The house is within walking distance to the metra train station that takes you directly into the city or the surrounding suburbs. There is the PACE bus service that can take you anywhere in town. It is a 5 min drive to get to I-90 and I-294 expressways. Being so close to the airport, there is ample ride share and taxi services available. Right behind the house there is a forest preserve trail and there is also a short walking path along the river

Four friends where one turns 40

We come to this area every year for the ABS hair show. This year we chose to rent your home instead of getting a hotel room. Your home is beautiful! Our husbands joined us on this trip as well. The space was amazing and large. Plenty of room inside and out! Easy access due to a great location! We 100% will be back to stay. Our one recommendation is if you are paying a cleaner, maybe look into a new one. There were toe nail clippings on the floor of one bedroom upon arrival. There was a dr. Pepper bottle under one of the beds. The cleaning was not as nice as this home deserves! Also, add a few more forks to the silverware. Wasn't enough for seven of us. Ultimately we truly did love staying in your home! Thank you!

Loved our Des Plaines Farmhouse stay

We enjoyed our long weekend in the Des Plaines farmhouse. The listing is as described and artistically decorated. Beds were comfortable, sound machines and room darkening curtains were appreciated. We didn’t cook but the kitchen looked well equipped. The backyard patio is beautiful and we spent hours outside reading comfortably. We had 6 adults (family) and were very comfortable, lots of space. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful property

Property was perfect, clean and beautiful. Very comfortable and great location. We spent hours playing monopoly kids really enjoyed it. Definitely recommended Thank you.
