2nd story in-law w/ private entrance, specialty bed, cable, 2 tv's.Full kitchen

This second story unit includes one very large bedroom with queen size Craftmatic adjustable bed, wall of closets, two tvs with Roku and its free associated channels, full kitchen with oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Large flat screen TV and living room, upgraded bathroom with stand-up shower. We are less than 10 minutes to most colleges (UofR, RIT, Roberts Wesleyan, MCC and more). We are close to airport yet in a quiet rural community. You rarely ever hear planes. For rentals over 2 weeks, owner requires the ability to enter property every two weeks for a cleaning and general maintenance/restocking. This day/time will be agreed upon mutually.

Comfortable and convenient place to stay

I chose Jays place as it was convenient for RIT. The place was comfortable and spacious. Jay is a wonderful host, communication was prompt and helpful.

This property is ideal for RIT parents visiting students, or those who will be working for the week in the Rochester area. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The owners are nice and easy to reach if you need anything. I will definitely stay here again. It was perfect!

Excellent space

Was like being at home. Had our own parking space and were able to come and go as we pleased. Was quiet and comfortable. Having snacks and coffee available was very nice. Hosts were responsive. 100% would stay again.

Ideal Location for RIT

I stayed a week at this property and the location was perfect for visiting my son at RIT. Jay was very thoughtful by stocking snacks for me (he took requests!) to enjoy during the week. Comfy setup.

Okay

Overall this was an okay place to stay but there is room for improvement. Extremely convenient location and quiet. Enjoyed having my own entrance and parking. Be aware the apartment is only accessible by an outdoor wooden stairway. The place is pretty spacious except for the bathroom. I appreciated having space heaters and a fan available. Jay kindly took a request for breakfast items prior, and there were coffee and snacks on hand. Check in and check out was all done by text and I never saw Jay. They have a binder with house rules and detailed info though the check out time was not mentioned there. Shortly after I checked in, they texted to say that the cable and internet was out and the provider was working on a fix. The outage wasn't Jay's fault, but wifi still didn't work the next morning. After I texted for an update, Jay reset the router, which fixed it. Despite the thoughtful touches, other things took away from the experience: -The unit is described as new but it felt dated especially the kitchen -Lock on the unit entrance was visibly damaged and difficult to use -Bedroom door doesn't close all the way -Cobwebs visible on the lights over the breakfast bar and under the bedroom TV -Stains on the ceiling over the bed -lights under the bed are a nice touch but too bright for sleeping. Wish there was an on/off switch instead of reaching under the bed to unplug These are all pretty small issues that could be easily addressed for a better quality experience.

The owners were so nice to let us extend our stay and checked on us from time to time. The bed is an adjustable bed and was very comfortable. The little kitchen was a plus, not having to worry about dinner, just stock the fridge and make dinner. Despite the airport being down the street didn't hear a thing and slept like a baby. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The owners were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Even tho there was an airport and rail road near by we hardly ever heard anything and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. There was shopping nearby and a lot of fun things to do around the area. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended our trip.
