Little Loon Farm is a quiet, historic Georgian farmhouse located in the middle of Mid-Coast Maine. Built in 1820, every room in the 2000 square-foot house is bright and airy, oozing charm and character; from its original pumpkin pine floors to the thoughtful updates to accommodate modern needs. The house is close to the coast and a short drive to everything mid-coast Maine has to offer. There are beaches, mountains, lighthouses, fishing, lakes, golf, hiking, ATV trails, kayaking, festivals, and an abundance of world-class restaurants. Not to mention skiing, tobogganing, and ice skating in the winter. Plus, you can put your kayak in and paddle out to sea with the St. George River just down the road.
The home is a beacon of comfort. All beds have luxury mattresses and four pillows. The bathroom on the main floor includes a large shower. The open kitchen is spacious and well appointed, including a lobster pot to have your own lobster festival! The generous kitchen table will accommodate eight with the accompanying chairs and the living room has plenty of seating to accommodate your whole family. A large laundry/mud room will give you more than enough room to park your muddy boots as well as all your adventure gear. There is a deck off the living room with a BBQ and chairs to enjoy the beautiful weather. The private half acre property is lined by blackberry bushes that you are welcome to pick in season. The long driveway accommodates four cars or your boat and trailer, and there’s easy access off routes Highways 1 and 90. Surrounded by trees Little Loon Farm is beautiful year-round and yes you can hear the loons in April, making it the perfect spot to base your Maine adventures.

Ultimate Maine experience
Perfect central place to stay for day trips around the mid coast area. The house was clean, had all the amenities I would want, and was a relaxing environment for a dreamy summer Maine vacation.
The house was lovely and had lots of sleeping accommodations for everyone. We were up in Maine for a wedding and really only used the house to sleep in, but I really enjoyed spending time on the front porch and drinking coffee. The house had all of the amenities you could possibly need and was well kept.
We had such a great time! The house was fantastic! Beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed to make a few breakfasts and dinners during our stay. Loved having coffee on the front porch every morning. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was fantastic at this property. There is no A/C, so the upstairs gets hot. But this was clearly not in the listing. And there are also plenty of fans. The property managers yelled quickly to every question we had. Extremely helpful. Thank you... Well be back!

Lovely Maine farmhouse
This is a nicely redone Maine farm house. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a family celebration. The house was very clean and kid friendly. Loved the kids room with attached bed room for a caretaker. We had some issues getting into the house but overall was a pleasant stay.

Comfortable stay
Overall, our stay was really good. The house had most everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the games. The thermostat was a bit unusual and I had a hard time adjusting it. Also, we wanted to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful mornings and evenings; however, there were no chairs on the front porch or back deck. It was only as we were about to leave and took the trash out to the shed that I saw plastic chairs inside. It would have been nice to know they were there!

Hello Jeannie, thank you for sharing your experience with us; we appreciate your honest feedback. I’m glad to hear that you had a satisfactory stay, that the house had almost everything you needed, that the beds were comfortable, and that you enjoyed the games. I apologize to hear you had trouble adjusting the thermostat. To clarify, the deck situated off the back of the home features a table with 6 seats along with some extra chairs for your convenience. I wish you communicated all the problems while you were staying at our place so we could've sent our local team to address them and make things more comfortable for you. I regret that we didn’t fully meet your expectations this time. We’d love the opportunity to host you again and provide a much better experience in the future.
We rented this house for two nights for our daughter’s wedding last weekend. The service/cleaning fees are high but we thought it would be worth it. The house is nice, but it had clearly not been cleaned well - bathroom floor very dirty, old food under table not vacuumed, mold inside the coffee maker, etc. Vacasa was not willing to accommodate us with an earlier check-in so that we could get to the wedding rehearsal. The thermostat was set to 50 degrees with no directions on how to change it so we were very cold. Sorry, owners, but we would not recommend this property, or Vacasa. There was no offer to refund us anything on what we paid. We were embarrassed to have our family stay there.

Wonderful home
This home was inviting and cozy. It had all the amenities needed. It is beautifully decorated...of course New England style. This home is right off Rte.1 so is easy access to many coastal towns. We loved our stay!

A perfect stay.
Little Loon Farm was truly like being at home. It was spacious and cozy at the same time. I would recommend it to anyone. Extremely clean as well.
I few friends and I, went to the owl’s Head transportation Museums annual antique and classic car auction and enjoyed the property, cooking on the grill on the deck and wishing we had money to buy car’s great time

NO AC
Very hot in the house during the day. House is beautiful but to hot for people/elderly when they are used to having AC
Great location slightly inland for day trips to various parts of the coast. Beautiful old farm house with all the comforts of home. Worked great for a family of five including kids but could have easily accommodated more.

Character and Amenities
Central location. House has lots of character (original floors, creepy basement and secret door) but has all of the modern amenities. Listing states there is a fan in the main floor closet, but there was not. It was very hot in August. Gas grill, large yard, laundry were enjoyed.
We were traveling from Florida, where central air conditioning is a must. This property did not have that. It gets quite hot during summer days in Maine, so that would have been nice. Also, there were water pressure issues that came and went. The water also was not always clean coming from the shower and faucets. This was probably because of the house age and was not expected. Aside from these two issues, the house was great. We loved the blackberry bush and the home had a lot of old charm. We were exploring a lot, so the air conditioning wasn’t an issue until we went to bed. There are window fans that the owner supplies. This type of fan may be common in the area. We were not familiar with them but figured them out.

Perfect & Central
This was the perfect place to stay. There is a huge yard, a nice back patio, and the inside was well appointed and extremely comfortable. They had everything we needed to stay for a week in comfort. It’s not far from Rockland and Camden, and the people in town were very welcoming.
