The Property:
You pull off of a freshly paved country road onto a level gravel drive that leads directly to the cabin steps. There is a plenty of parking and a turn-around spot at the end. You have arrived at Honey's Hideaway - take in a breath of fresh mountain air! Looking around you will see the pond, fire pit area, and the running creek that runs the length of the property. There are multiple decks and balconies surrounding the house which boast porch swings, hammocks and plenty of seating. Honey's Hideaway sits on nearly 7 acres and there are no neighbors in sight.
You can hear the relaxing sounds of the running stream from nearly all areas of the property. Keep a watchful eye to spot visitors such as raccoons, deer, and black bear.

The Cabin:
As you enter the cabin you will notice the living room has a stone (gas) fireplace and a beautiful hand-painted two-story mural leading upstairs. The bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed and a full bathroom. Once upstairs, you will see 2 twin beds in the loft as well as the master bedroom with a queen bed and also a full bathroom. Both the loft area and master bedroom have private balconies - enjoy wooded views from the loft balcony, the master balcony overlooks the pond. Both upstairs balconies have high rails installed for child safety. The stairs inside are equipped with built in child safety gates so you can relax and allow your children to play safely.

The renovated kitchen boasts brushed granite countertops and new stainless appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the comforts of home, and there is also a gas grill on the back porch.

There is a smart TV in the living room as well as each bedroom. Snuggle up in front of the fireplace and watch your favorite movie or read a good book.

*In an effort to offer the most sanitary venue possible, we change the hot tub water between each guest. On short stays, the water may not reach desired temperatures in the colder months.

*Please respect our no pet policy to avoid additional fees and possible trip cancelation.
Thank you!

Quick getaway

We enjoyed the location of the property and able to walk around some there while enjoying the sounds of the creek and feeding the fish in the pond. The multiple sitting areas around the multi-tiered decks was inviting and relaxing. The ambiance and decor inside the cabin was quaint and peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you for the enjoyable stay and accommodations.

Beautiful Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honey’s Hideaway. This home is spotless clean and comfortable. We loved the decor. The owners were a pleasure and available easily by text or phone, though we did not have any issues to contact them for. It is an easy drive. We enjoyed exploring Ellijay and went to the Chattanooga Zoo. The hot tub was nice and the boys loved fishing in the pond. We also enjoyed hanging by the fire pit at night. We would highly recommend this rental. It is one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed in.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway - We didn't want to leave!

Honey's Hideaway is a spectacular place. It was truly the perfect getaway for our family of 5. Nothing about this property disappoints. The cabin is well appointed and beautifully decorated, making it the top favorite feature of the property. The stocked pond was the second favorite feature. The kids loved the opportunity to wake up, walk outside and drop a line in. Of course the firepit was another favorite. It was so wonderful cozying up in the evening and watching movies together or playing games. Rebecca and Adam are excellent hosts. Very responsive and easy to get in touch with. Ellijay is a gem of a town and well worth a visit. Go tubing or hiking, grab a bite to eat in downtown historic Ellijay and be sure to save some time for shopping! As I mention in the title, we didn't want to leave!! Thank you for an awesome experience!!

Almost perfect

The house is super clean and updated although we did have to run the water for a while to get rid of the sulphur smell. We went to Walmart and got clarifier for the hot tub to get rid of brown layer of I don't know what off. And the never ending sound of cars flying by all night and day Now we did have an amazing time the porch bed swing was very relaxing

Memorial Day weekend getaway

The cabin has all tge amenities of home and is VERY clean, which we noticed and appreciate. The various swings on the porch are a nice touch to relax and have your coffee. The hotub was great in the evenings to unwind a bit. The pond is rather small but if you have kids that like to fish they will have a ball. Caught many many trout in the 6-10" range. I used a fly rod mainly because if you hook a rainbow deeper then the lip there is a high chance of it dying. We even caught some catfish that were roughly 10"ers. The firepit was a wonderful spot to hangout at have dinner. Nothing like burgers and brats over true wood coals! Our only complaint is the active road located right infront of the cabin. The traffic starting around noon and going into the night got annoying but was overlooked due to the other great aspects of the stay. Communications with the owner(s) was reliable and we thank them for a great getaway weekend!

Just what we needed!

We were looking for a few days of rest and relaxation and this was exactly what we needed! There were spots to relax all around the cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub, swing bed, hammock swing, firepit, and some fishing. Everything inside the cabin was spotless and smelled amazing. It was well stocked with everything we needed. We are frequent VRBO renters and I keep a bag packed with essentials like laundry detergent, dryer sheets, paper towels, dish soap, extra toilet paper, etc. and I didn't have to even get it out of the car. The kitchen is also well stocked with pots, pans, and even a toaster. We ate out for dinner each night but ate in for breakfast and lunch and they had everything we needed including foil, salt, and pepper. We were an easy 10 min drive from several local restaurants. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths. We played Goldilocks until we found the "just right" bed. If you want firm, you have it, and if you want soft, you have that too. Internet is great and so are the smart tvs. Unfortunately, we both had some work to do, but we were able to have 2 computers, the tv, and both of our phones connected to the internet and it was still very fast. This cabin is definitely on our list to visit again!

The cabin was beautiful! Decorated so cute! The pond was a huge disappointment because the guys were to go fishing and there had not been enough rain.

Great Family Get Away!

We stayed here for a portion of our spring break with our 2 year old daughter! The property was great for our little one to run around on! She enjoyed throwing rocks into the creek that runs through the property, spotting trout in the pond. The baby gates are great to have on vacation! Plenty of space! Property manager was prompt when responding to messages! The front porch has so much space to relax, play, star gaze, enjoy coffee ect. We visited amicalola falls (about 30 minute drive) while there and Cajun depot grill. We enjoyed our peaceful cabin get away!

Absolutely Perfect Getaway

We absolutely loved our weekend stay at this property. The house is perfect for up to 6 people comfortably. Located on a quiet road with a small brook running beside the property flowing into the trout pond. Also, there is a spring that flows along the road creating a very relaxing sound at night while you’re enjoying the hot tub. We would definitely recommend booking a stay here if you’re looking for a quiet, clean and very comfortable home away from home. We will definitely be planning on revisiting soon.
