Welcome to Gunsmoke cabin, the not so "tiny" cabin in the woods with a private hot tub & fenced in back yard.
~600sf of cozy cabin, 4 acres with 2 ponds in the community to roam. ~Plenty of parking for your off road toys.
~Within 15 minutes to boat launch and lake.
~Downtown Ellijay is also 15 minutes for great places to eat, shop and stroll..
~Great for people who love the outdoors, privacy, hiking, biking, boating or have off road vehicles.
If you prefer, just relax on the porch listening to the sound of birds chirping in the north Georgia mountains.
~There is also plenty of room to stretch out on the back deck sipping coffee or enjoying the hot tub.
~Large master bedroom with king size bed & private bathroom.
~There is a cozy bunk room for kids and tons of outdoor room to play! ~The kitchen is stocked with everything you need from coffee, creamer, sugar, spices and all the pots & pans that you need to cook any meal.
~The bathroom even has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryer and curling iron with plenty of towels.

**Max amount of guests is strictly 2 Adults & 2 Children
**Please book all guests or pets at time of booking.
**Dogs are welcome with a one time $75 fee

We enjoyed our stay at the Gunsmoke cabin! We brought along our two dogs so the fenced in back yard was a game changer. The cabin was clean and everything was fully stocked with anything we would need. Neighbors are pretty far and the property is surrounded by lots of trees, so very private. Host is very friendly and responds super fast! Lots of outside motion lighting, which is great because it gets super dark out there. It is on a dirt road but it’s not too rough for the average car and it’s nice there is a functioning gate at the front of the community. I would recommend this place to anyone and if we ever return to Ellijay, we will be back!

Cabin was great!!

Cabin was in a quiet area and from the back porch you could not see any other cabins around. Very peaceful stay.

Overall it was okay. The outside porch and deck was not clean on top of the refrigerator was very dusty spider web everywhere, the oven did not work and very low water pressure.

Beautiful property, close to so many hiking areas

We came to have a few days of gorgeous hiking in the mountains and the location of this place did not disappoint! Cute town close by with a few interesting restaurants.

Cozy little getaway

Our stay at Gunsmoke was terrific: Clean, cozy, well-appointed. really comfy King-sized bed! Great location: not far from town, but well-away from the hustle-bustle. Smart TVs are a plus: watched plenty of football. Had a clear evening when we enjoyed some star-gazing. Looking forward to a return trip - highly recommend!

Cozy Couples Retreat

Our week here was so relaxing. . We enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching sunrises and listening to the birds. This was a great location for exploring all the new wineries that have grown up around Ellijay. Hope to return.

Nice cabin getaway

The cabin was nice the hot tub was a good addition. Communication with the owners was good. There was a storm just before we came that knocked out the power and she kept in touch with us to let us know what was going on with it. The town is nice. It was a lovely stay.

Perfect cabin getaway.

We loved everything about our stay. Jill was very accommodating and friendly. Any questions we had she answered before could even ask. The cabin was just what we were looking for with lots of charm and very private and quiet. We found nothing lacking and had a wonderful time. We look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful, clean and just what we wanted!

This cabin was so nice. Very clean! TV in 2 rooms, deck with hot tub and beautiful view. Jill was fantastic in answering all of our questions. Need to let friends and family members know how it was. Very good price and extra blankets, towels, plenty of cooking supplies! Beautiful view and nice, quiet neighborhood. It would be a great place to stay in November, December. Thank you so much!!

Beautiful cabin

We’ve vacationed in dozens of cabins, but this one is our favorite! Everything was very clean, the floor plan is very spacious, yet cozy, and stocked with all the supplies needed to feel at home. After hiking all day, we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was, and now buying the same mattress for our own home! This adorable cabin is located perfectly in a private area and easy to find. If you’re looking for a comfortable getaway and a cozy cabin, Gunsmoke is the cabin for you.

Long weekend getaway

The house and surrounding area was all we expected. The host was very informative and accommodating. The house was just the size needed for the both of us.Very relaxing and quiet.We both work a lot so our free time is very special.The hot tub was fantastic especially at night when the temps went down some. Hope to get back to the area again and highly recommend this listing if seeking a relaxing visit or exploring.

The oven was not operative. We had to turn the gas off outside of the cabin. No window screen in bedroom. Exterior bedroom door would not unlock. Interior bedroom door jammed halfway open. Owners accused us of lying . We left early and sacrificed our money.

The Hostess with the Mostess

Jill, the owner and hostess, makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. The cabin is warm and inviting, every detail was thought with you in mind from the comfy bed and linens to the hot cocoa and dog treats in the kitchen. My family and I enjoyed picturesque nights around the campfire roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking breakfast for my family hassle free. The best of all was that if there were any issues Jill made it known that I could contact her anytime, unlike most. I would recommend if you stay here to drive an SUV or a truck as the road is a dirt logging road. We did take our car and it was fine but wished we would have taken our SUV when we got there. Also know that in the living area there is a love seat and 2 stools so if you have more than 1 small child this may not be the best place to stay. Also I ran into more than 1 problem using the VRBO app (not the owners fault at all) so make sure you check your emails and don’t use the app.

Perfect place to get away! Easy to get to and beautiful surroundings! There’s a lot of things to go and do in the area and a bunch of good food. The owners were awesome as well!

The cabin was easy to find with gps and easy to get up to in our Corolla. We both loved the view of the beautiful starry sky while relaxing in the hot tub. We had all the amenities we needed and no issues. Activities we did during our stay were chess, cards, horseshoes, hiking, horseback riding, and zip lining. There is a Dollar General less than a mile away, which was really convenient for snacks and drinks. It's pretty secluded, and we loved the privacy. We brought our dog and she enjoyed it, too. The fenced in backyard was great and they even had dog treats which I completely forgot to bring! We grilled steaks on our last night and enjoyed the fire pit. All in all, it was a great trip and we look forward to going again.

Secluded getaway

Amazing host and property! Loved our stay at Gunsmoke. We used it as a landing spot to travel all over northern Georgia. Honestly would have loved to spend more time relaxing in this beautiful little cabin. Would recommend an AWD vehicle to get up the steep, gravel road to the property.

Wonderful Cabin

I had a wonderful stay. Cabin was clean and well-kept. Lots of instructions for basics around the cabin, which made the stay much more enjoyable and relaxing. Not too isolated, but very peaceful area.

Ellijay is the little slower, little quieter then most towns. You have more chance to see everything here then getting consumed in a big city.
Why not Ellijay, it's amazing here!
We fell in love with this sweet little cabin at first sight. I love that it's tiny but so roomy at the same time. We feel so relaxed and comfortable here.

What makes this property unique

So much room to run around in the open property.. Place a game of horseshoes, badminton or just sit by the fire & knowing our dogs are safe in the fenced back yard is a huge bonus!.. You feel so far away from everything yet only 15 minutes from town.
