Perfect Getaway

Swimmin' On The Bluff was a wonderful cabin for my 3 daughters and I to stay in over Spring Break (while my husband stayed home to do house repairs). The main space was large, open, and beautiful with the generous kitchen and sitting area. The view hits as soon as you walk in the door with the huge windows facing the mountains in the East. The deck off this level was especially nice for morning coffee! In the evenings it was still beautiful with the sun reflecting off the mountains! The view from the main bedroom in the back was breathtaking with the blinds up and such a treat to wake up to! The kids (ages 10, 12, 14) were thrilled with the lower level, which had the bunk room (cozy but big), game room (billiard table and 3 arcade machines), theater room, and swimming pool (has a code so your kids don't go in by themselves). The deck off this level had the hot tub and a few steps down into the backyard. The pool was nice. It had a large ledge around the pillar that was maybe a foot deep, so it would be great for little ones. The main part of the pool was deep enough (estimating 4-1/2' to 5') for my older kids and I to enjoy. It isn't a big pool, but having an indoor pool in your own cabin is a treat of its own! Everything worked and was comfortable. (Some other places have painful beds and uncomfortable couches!) I loved the peace and quiet of the location and yet the closeness to Pigeon Forge. I would sit on the deck and listen to the crickets and tadpoles. There are other houses around and a road at the bottom of the hill, but they aren't distracting. There is only 1 house in your view from the back, and it's so much lower on the hill that you really only see the roof. Inside, the fuzzy blankets in the living room and extra comforters in the main bedroom closet were a nice touch. The fireplace was pretty and had a remote control. Hearthside Cabin Rentals was responsive, almost immediately, to questions we had about the area. There is food delivery you can get to this cabin from at least 3 or 4 restaurants, including a pizza place.
