Family Wedding
Super fun week with ALL the family from NY, FL & NE to celebrate my nephew's wedding. The Farm House was perfect. Plenty of space for all to spread out and filled with all the amenities and comforts of home! Especially loved the special touches like fresh farm eggs and local treats and the kindness and attentiveness of Roxanne our host. Also enjoyed the chickens, pigs, sheep, horses and endless kitties! SO fun. Highly recommend!

Host profile image
Roxanne (military spouse) and Ron (retired military) are residents and owners of the 100+ acre farm.

The Farm at Buzzard Rock is part of their mission to provide a respite for guests from their overworked, hectic, and challenging lives.

In addition to running a working farm with crops native to NC and horses, the Reeds direct Farm School on Wheels Powered By Granit Training Group. They work to provide capital for business and strategic plans for long-term success.

Why they chose this property

Our mission is to preserve a piece of Yadkin Valley history, encourage outdoor exploration, and increase awareness and interest in NC agriculture.

The 300-year-old homestead is a short walk from the historical Buzzard rock. Traditionally, the bride and groom would gather to touch the rock face to bless their marriage before the wedding.

Enjoy a respite from hectic day-to-day meetings and calls. Homeowners, guests, and co-workers are provided with a quiet place to cherish a restful haven in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

What makes this property unique

The farm at Buzzard Rock offers acres of scenic countryside to explore. As guests at the farmhouse, you have access to the hiking trails, our stretch of the S. Yadkin River, and our namesake, Buzzard Rock.
