Great, corner home on a quiet street. Lots of space inside and out. Easy access to shopping, dining and local eateries and bars. The host provided all the amenities needed, and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely book this property when we return.
This listing was in a perfect location and Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Living area was on the main floor and worked fine but all bedrooms were on upper level and in basement. The ceilings in the basement were only 6 ft tall in some areas and 7ft in others. This was very claustrophobic as the majority in our group were over 6ft tall. Ceiling height in upstairs was also only 7ft which also caused issues for our group. Worth mentioning that the stairs going to basement/upstairs were also very thin and steep. 2 people in our group actually slipped pretty badly! Owner was good to work with but I wish the listing would have been more transparent that half of our group would have to sleep in a cramped basement.

Thank you. Yes, the stairs are steep and the ceilings in bedrooms are low which is why it’s in the description of the house. I appreciate you mentioning it so it highlights it for guests. My husband is over 6 feet tall and he’s bumped his head a few times. I also wouldn’t recommend the home for anyone who has issues with stairs. I’m glad you enjoyed the property and if you ever travel with shorter friends or family we’d love to see you again.
We had a very nice stay here in University place. It was the perfect location for our event! The home is cute and quaint. We had great communication with Shontae from the moment we booked our stay! Would highly recommend. And if ever find ourselves in the Seattle/Tacoma area we will definitely look into booking here again!
Host was very easy to communicate with and responsive when we reached out to her. The house was a great family get away place with a big backyard, hot tub, area to play basketball and fun spot for our little grandson to play. The house is close to many stores and places to eat. We enjoyed the very short drive to the beach (Titlow park), watching the trains, and then a quick bite in the Marina at Boathouse 19. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I would let future renters know the fridge is in the garage and the there are two small fridge drawers in the kitchen. Nice get away.
We appreciate Shontae for accommodating us staying additional days and bringing more family. We loved the cozy ambiance and especially enjoyed the hot tub. The only challenges were the low ceilings downstairs and narrow stair cases going up/down so be careful if you’re taller than 6’0 and consider carefully if you’re bringing seniors or disabled loved ones. The house is equipped with everything except a hand steamer but there’s one there now since I left mine behind for the next guests. The host is very personable & friendly. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the backyard patio and all the beds were very comfy. We can’t wait to stay there again!

Our family loves to travel and when we do we always stay in a short term rental. We love the feeling of having the comforts of home while exploring new places. We have 8 children and two fur babies so we know how important a well appointed space is and think you’ll appreciate the details we’ve put into this home.
Why they chose this property
This property is really close to our hearts. We lived here for 20 years and couldn’t bear selling it which is why we turned it into a short term rental. The house is over 100 years old but with all of the updates of modern life. It’s on a third of an acre and has wonderful light. The neighborhood is charming and it’s in walking distance from Starbucks, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods as well as several beautiful parks.
What makes this property unique
The house has beautiful custom cabinetry throughout. We have a sports court with basketball hoop as well as a very large deck and balcony off of the master bedroom. You’ll enjoy the outdoor furniture and grill. We also have an outdoor heater. The mature landscape is absolutely beautiful in the spring and summer.
