Everything's Better at The Lake! ~ 3+ bdrms/3 full bath /Private Dock/Boat Ramp
- english, spanish
Why Teresa Frankfurth chose Bigfork
I am blessed to live in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet, it's an honor to share my home and the beauty this area has to offer with my guests. Hosting guests is a pleasure I very much enjoy. Jane's Place on Flathead Lake does not consider itself 'fancy'. What we are is family run, clean, homey and very comfortable. ....at least that's what they tell me! We want you to feel at home and have most of the conveniences of home while enjoying the beauty of the Montana countryside and Flathead Lake.
What makes this House unique
Beautiful views from all 3 decks, Cozy beds, Hot Tub, short walk, about 4 mins. down to Flathead Lake with your own beach, private dock and boat ramp. A little over an acre to play on, comfy, not stuffy.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
4th of July 2019 - EXCELLENT
A fantastic location and property. We had a group of 12 and we were all very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and all three decks, one in front and two in back with amazing views. The lake was just a short walk straight down the hill. We parked a camper on the beach for additional people who joined us for the trip.
Overall, we could not have found a better set up for our needs, and the close proximity to Bigfork for non-lake activities and the airport (Glacier Park International) made the transportation situation for people from all over the country perfect.
Cozy home with a beautiful lake view!
We had a wonderful time at Jane’s Place! It had everything we needed and had an amazing view of the lake from the hot tub and the top deck that over looks all the beautiful fall leaves on the trees! We also enjoyed the private beach & dock, which was just a short walk down the hill. This was a wonderful place to spend our 16 year anniversary weekend! We were even greeted with a nice cold bottle of champange from Teresa to start the celebration of right! Thanks so much Teresa! We had a wonderful time!!
We have so many reasons to celebrate at The Lake, but one of the best is having happy guests like you two! Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us for your special occasion, I'm very pleased you enjoyed our place. We hope to see you before the 17th! Remember to mention your returning guest status and receive 10% off. Thanks again!
My sisters and I stayed the weekend and had a nice relaxing weekend. The place was very very clean, inviting and comfortable. I would rent this place again. There were plenty of towels, nice soaps and lotions, pretty much everything you need in the kitchen. It could use barbecue utensils for the charcoal grill. It's a few minutes walk down to the beach on the private road. We didn't utilize that due to the weather and the house and hot tub was great! Teresa was great to work with and ensured our stay was great. Thank you! Will rent again!
Thanks for staying with us Annie, it was a pleasure to meet you and your sisters. We do have BBQ utensils, in the cabinet under the oven, so sorry you didn't call. We also always provide brickettes, lighter fluid and grill cleaners for the grill at the house, the one at the lake always has gas.
I hope to see you again sometime, remember, all our returning guests get a 10% discount!
Have a great Winter and maybe we'll see you in Hot Springs for a nice soothing soak!
This was a great home with everything one could ask for.....
Even tho the home was great with everything one could ask for, The reason for the one star is the lack of returning my deposit, First call from Teresa said that the deposit was being returned via a check that would be going out in the morning mail, that she couldn't even tell that anyone stayed there, Week later another call from Teresa who again said check was going in the mail that day, four business days later still no refund of my deposit. I really wanted to give a five star review and even thought of bringing my family back and telling all of my friends that this place was one of the best rentals, it is unfortunate that I can't because of the failure to return my deposit with out a reason.
First I'd like to say that no host can EVER keep an entire deposit from a guest with absolutely no reason whatsoever, VRBO does not allow that kind of behavior in any case. VRBO will investigate, and a host can be "dis-barred" for such behavior.
Secondly and more importantly, this unfortunate situation, 1 star and Deb's bad feeling after a great trip, is entirely my fault. The day this review was posted, my guest, Deb, received her entire deposit by registered mail. It was returned 5 days late. Deb called me 2 days after her departure, asking when she'd get her deposit back, it was the same day I found out that a very dear friend had suddenly passed away. I was heartbroken and in shock. Instead of telling her this I just acted as if it was business as usual. I actually had 10 days to return her deposit, as per her rental contract, but wasn't thinking of this. She received her monies on day 15. In the end it is my fault, I didn't handle the situation well & didn't communicate my situation to her. Given my track record as a vacation rental host of over 13 years in the business, I do not have one single complaint in this department, on this site, VRBO, Air--b--, The travel company with an OWL, (VRBO won't let us name competitors) or on any other site that Jane's Place lists on. We all make a big mistake with our guests at some point, I'll take this as my "one" and be sure to NEVER have it happen again, ever. I want my people to be happy long after their stay at The Lake. This kind of situation paints a bad picture for all vacation rental hosts, that's not something I want to do.
Deb, I've sent you an apology email, I hope you got it. I haven't heard from you. Again, I'm sorry for the time I took from you in your worry, phone calls and emails. I did not get a chance to meet you, you seem like a very nice person and you left the house in great shape. I'm sorry this happened to you. If there's anything else I can do, please let me know. All the Best, Teresa
A classic cabin experience...
It may never make the pages of Architectural Digest, but if you're looking for an authentic family cabin experience on Flathead Lake, this place is tough to beat.
The cabin feels like it's been in the family for generations-- with quirky renos and a mishmash of furniture, just like you'd expect. It was refreshing not to feel like we were staying in an art gallery or a museum. The vibe here is chill, friendly and authentic.
Everything is spotlessly clean, including the bathrooms and hot-tub. Thoughtful touches abound-- like lots of spices, pantry items and every kind of plate, bowl, cup and utensil you could ask for. At the lake (a short meander down a country road through a cherry orchard) there were all the fixings for a fire, including metal sticks for marshmallows and even water paints and an easel.
Two things that would be lovely to fix: The outside upholstery on some of the chairs on the top deck could use a good clean. And it would be awesome to have a swim ladder on the dock.
Thank you Chris! You'll be happy to know (2019) our outside upholstery has been recovered and our ladder has been re-welded! Thanks again for staying with us! Hope all is well in your world!
An amazing place to stay with family
Our extended family, 11 of us,stayed a few days in July. We had plenty of room to spread out and a lake experience to remember forever. We just couldn't get enough of the water, and learning to stand and paddle or do yoga on them. We had lovely dinners, talks, and some music time as my aunt plays piano...and she brought her music. It is a large place but also comfy and cozy. Cherries were ripe and Teresa shared some of her crop with us. The picture of the view is beautiful, but nothing compared to the real thing. GKeg
Thank you for staying with us Gena, it was a pleasure to meet you and your family. We hope to see you again sometime.
We are NOT in Rollins, the west side, we are located on the east side of Flathead Lake.
