Located in the private gated community of Watersound West Beach  'Moon Landing' will fulfill all your beach vacation dreams with access to the secluded beaches through Deer Lake State Park. This cozy beach cottage is the perfect family vacation with an open concept living, kitchen, and dining areas that lead to a screened in porch featuring comfortable outdoor couches and dining table for six. The dining table inside seats eight with four additional seats at the kitchen island. The kitchen is well appointed with stainless steel appliances and ample counter space. 

The first floor features a master suite with a king size bed and en suite with dual sinks and a walk in shower. The first floor also has a half bath and laundry with a full size washer and dryer. On the second floor you will find a second living room space and hang out. The master suite on this level has a king size bed and private en suite with dual sinks, soaking tub and walk in shower. The two guest suites both have king size beds and private en suites, one with a walk in shower and one with a shower/tub combo. 

Take the bikes and cruise over to the community pool or head to the boardwalk and enjoy the beautiful walk to Deer Lake State Park where you will walk over the dune lake and sugar white dunes of 30A! Watersound West Beach Community features a community pool, boardwalks, two parks, boardwalk to the beach.

We have stayed in many houses in this neighborhood and this one is at the top of the list. The golf cart made everything even more amazing!! It made getting to seaside or anywhere else so awesome!! The beds were very comfortable! They had all beach things available although we didn’t use them. Chair rentals are not provided in the neighborhood anymore but we used beach brothers and walked a very short distance down the beach to get to the chairs each day at the Walton Dunes Beach Access. Very well furnished and had everything there that we needed! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Tested Alternative Works Out!!

This was our first time staying outside of RMB in the past 15 years of coming to the beach with our kids. RMB is so congested and outrageously priced lately so we wanted to venture out. Watersound WEST is affiliated with Watersound but you do not have access to the “Watersound” amenities. It’s neither bad or good but I think a clearer distinction should be made with any Watersound West places. The flip side to this is that you have solitude and serenity and none of that “the mine is bigger than yours” attitude now prevailed all over RMB….. which is nice! Plenty of parking and the homes are even more impressive once you get there! Beautiful grounds and similar feel to how things were in RMB many years ago. The trek to the beach is what we were most concerned about. On paper and on Google maps, it looks like a haul….and it is! We did have the advantage of a top notch 6 seater golf cart to get you there with all your beach necessities (details later) but you can only take the cart to the pool which still leaves a good 10 minute walk to the beach via the boardwalk. Again, beautiful grounds and the boardwalk is impressive but not for the faint of heart. The walk to the beach must be done hauling EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED for a day at the beach. The beach access is actually on a state park and therefore you CAN NOT RENT CHAIRS etc. on the beach. You haul it all. I’m only mentioning this because I made several calls to rental companies about getting beach set ups and some told me yes of course for Watersound WEST and others said no because it was a state park. Bottom line, if you are staying anywhere in WS WEST you have to bring your own stuff. Luckily our homeowners had EVERYTHING! I mean everything! Chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, Dan Cortez, skim boards, snorkeling,… I’m telling you, everything! We were thoroughly impressed. However, the absolute best way to get to the beach is via bicycle, which 4 were provided and one with an attached cart to haul icechests, chairs, etc….. bungee it all down and you are set. All and all we really enjoyed the entire week. Great place, 4 king sized beds, and everything you need to cook meals and store leftovers….. and that ice machine is a champ!!! Thanks so much!
