Escape to the Great Smoky Mountains at Sloan Ridge Retreat, a spacious cabin with a mountain view for up to 11 guests just minutes away from Pigeon Forge and the entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park. Whether you are looking to explore the nearby hiking trails and waterfalls or just hoping to cuddle by the house fire, Sloan Ridge Retreat is bound to feel like your home away as soon as you walk through the door.

The location is unbeatable for those wanting to relax in nature, far enough away from neighboring cabins, while simultaneously enjoying the convenience of having anything they might need just minutes away.

Access to a community swimming pool and fishing pond are included with booking. They are located off site, just a 10 minute drive from the cabin.

Sloan Ridge Retreat is a 2300 square foot cedar cabin with 3 levels, each level has a bedroom, en suite bathroom, and deck. 4 Decks total!

Our favorite feature are the four decks overlooking the mountain. The deck on the lower level has an outdoor hot tub, while the main level has a wrap-around deck complete with porch swing. The third one is located on the upper level and is a charming spot for watching the flickering night lights of distant cabins.

The master bedroom is located on the main level and has a king-sized bed and an ensuite bath with a separate jacuzzi tub. You will find two extra bedrooms with separate bathrooms in the other two levels, as well as a loft space on the upper level that works like a fourth bedroom. Should you need to fit more guests, there is also a sofa bed in the lower level.

The house is full of amenities you are free to enjoy. You can relax by the cozy gas fire during the winter or take in the view from one of the decks on a summer night. The game room on the lower level has a pool table, an air hockey table, board games, and a retro arcade game.

Our cabin is fully equipped with everything you might need, including a washer/drier. The kitchen is ready to use and includes cookware, dinnerware, a coffee maker, a blender, and all the cooking essentials.

Other things to note

Pets are unfortunately not allowed. We love this house and hope to keep it in great shape for our guests, so no smoking or parties either. Outside fires are not allowed in the area. Please note that guests must be over 25 years old, unless accompanied by a parent, and will be responsible for any damage to the property during your stay.

You will have full access to the house during your stay.

Check-in is completely independent. We will provide all the instructions before check-in. Check in after 4pm and check out before 10am.

Location

Our cabin is situated on Sloan Ridge, facing Little Cove Gap, and has an unbelievable view of Tilda High Top Mountain.

The location is unbeatable. Pigeon Forge and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are each just 10 minutes away by car, so you will have everything you need at your doorstep while still enjoying the feeling of being secluded. There are plenty of hiking paths nearby and scenic drives all around.

Getting around

You need a vehicle to get around the area. Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are just a short drive away.

There is parking for up to 4 cars right outside the house. Black top roads and driveway all the way (no gravel).

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

The house was beautiful with lots to do for all ages. We had 3 families staying together and there was plenty of room. We wish we could have stayed longer! The view was incredible and very relaxing. Thank you!

Great spring break vacation in the Smoky Mountains

The property was exactly as listed and matched the photos posted. It was a beautiful house with all the amenities - hot tub, game room, and plenty of decks to enjoy the great view. The owner was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Overall a great family trip!! Would highly recommend this property!!

Great mountain hideaway

Beautiful, cozy cabin with plenty of breathtaking views. Ideal to relax, unwind and even visit the sites. Perfect location very close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Everything was excellent.

Zero complaints. We loved everything about the cabin. The property accurately described in the listing. The location is perfectly nestled in the mountains offering spectacular views. We appreciated the short distance to town and the Smokys. The master bedroom is HUGE, the two queen room in the basement was also very large. The loft bedroom had beautiful views from bed. All the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were well stocked with bedding and pillows. We had plenty of towels for showering as well as the hot tub. The kitchen had everything you’d ever need in it. We did a lot of meals in the cabin utilizing the abundance of patio furniture and the grill. Why eat out when you can relax on the deck and enjoy the beautiful views?! The drive to the cabin was tricky at first, but we adjusted to that quickly. The winding mountain roads are fun and the scenery was beautiful and never got old to look at as we drove into town. Our family enjoyed the game room and it was a fun battle to be the high scorer on the arcade game. My husband was the highest scorer on our trip. The game room was also well stocked with board games. Communication was excellent between me and the owner. Ben offered many suggestions on where to visit. We loved The Local Goat and ate there twice. We would definitely stay here again.

I am a teacher, husband, and father of 4. When our youth hockey schedule allows time off we love to travel. The Florida beaches and mountains of eastern Tennessee are our favorites.

We fell in love with the location of this cabin. It offers plenty of room for multiple families and friends to stay together. The proximity to town and to nature trails is the perfect balance.

You can sit in the hot tub and not see a neighboring cabin. You can enjoy the back deck with an unobstructed view for miles. You can feel like you're at the top of a mountain, but only 10 minutes away from enjoying a delicious restaurant meal or entertainment.
