Step back in time and enjoy a unique stay in The Knight’s Suite, a self-contained studio located within Château d’Ancezune, an iconic historic residence in Caderousse whose origins date back to the 12th century.

The château takes its name from the noble Ancezune family, whose history is closely linked to the lordship of Caderousse. Its stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and timeless atmosphere bear witness to a rich medieval heritage that has endured through the centuries.

Staying here means experiencing a place steeped in history while enjoying the charm and authenticity of Provence. 

The Knight’s Suite has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate up to 3 guests.

Carefully restored, the château now combines the unique character of its ancient stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and handcrafted ironwork with modern comfort, including air conditioning throughout the property.

The suite features:

A queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm)

A lounge area with a television and a 140 cm sofa bed suitable for one additional guest

A private shower room with toilet

A fully equipped kitchen with authentic charm, including a cooktop, small refrigerator, storage space, kitchen essentials, and a filter coffee maker

A spacious dressing room for a comfortable stay

The Ramparts Patio

Outside, guests can enjoy a charming patio furnished with comfortable outdoor seating, as well as a refreshing plunge pool, perfect for cooling off during sunny Provençal days.

The History of the Château

Located in the heart of the historic village of Caderousse, between Orange and Avignon, this château has stood for nearly nine centuries. Formerly the residence of the Ancezune family, lords of Caderousse, it still preserves all the charm and authenticity of its medieval past.

According to local archives, several French sovereigns are said to have stayed here over the centuries, including Francis I in 1524, Henry III in 1575, and Louis XIII in 1622.
