Great Property!

Lovely home with easy access to downtown! Communication with host was excellent - incredibly kind and responsive. Game room was great and we loved all the special touches (the house had holiday decorations up when we visited in mid December). Highly recommend if you’re planning a trip to the area!

Great House, Exceeded Expectations!

Our group really enjoyed staying at this house. It is everything and more than the photos! Very clean and well-decorated, fully stocked. Great spaces to relax and hangout. And a very short drive to downtown Nevada City. Would definitely stay again with a large group.

Amazing family vacation

Geeta’s home is fabulous! We really enjoyed our vacation here and her home. All of the beds are incredibly comfortable, and her home was spotless. In addition, everything you could possibly need is there for you including snacks, coffee, and cream all those little things that mean a lot. I would highly recommend staying here, and we will definitely come back!

Amazing Home!

We stayed in this home with several family members while we were in Nevada City for my son's wedding. The house was perfect for our family to get ready for the wedding and just to hang out and enjoy our time together. There are so many wonderful little details about this home that made our stay extra special. We have amazing memories of the both the wedding and our stay in this home!

The perfect weekend getaway!

This was the best location for our Nevada city getaway! A group of 7 of us fit absolutely perfect in this home! Geeta was exceptional at communicating with me and giving me all the information we needed for our stay! She was even able to accommodate an early check in (given the availability)! The home was clean and welcoming! Only a 5 minute drive into the cute town of Nevada City! We enjoyed the wood fireplace, cozy bedrooms, and open living space for our friends getaway! We didn’t end up bringing our pup, but the home is dog friendly and had accommodations for furry friends! We would absolutely come back and stay here again!

Birthday Getaway

Beautiful property the views made me feel like I was in posh treehouse. Close to town which made it easy to visit town. Sleep masks, lip balm, extra tooth brushes and lots of little extras. The game room was lots of fun. I had no idea my husband of 30 years was so good at pool! Thank you Geeta! Appreciated your hospitality!

Amazing stay

This property was such an amazing place to stay. The house was very clean and spacious. The location was just about five minutes from town where there were little shops and bars to enjoy. We were there for a wedding at a lodge near by and were only 10 minutes away. The house includes a pool table, air hockey and foozeball as well as other board games. We had to reach the host for a minor issue and she replied immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cooking and family friendly house

We are two families who stayed here for Thanksgiving week. We enjoyed the area and house. It was well set-up in all aspects and had many thoughtful touches from teas to toothbrushes. Geeta was very responsible and easy to communicate with and helped answer questions not just about the house but also the area. It was super easy to cook Thanksgiving meal and then to go on nearby walks or head to town. Our dog enjoyed the grounds and watching the foosball matches.

Perfect Getaway

This has been the best VRBO property that we have stayed at in the five years we have used this app. Giving this location, and Geeta the host, five stars seems like an injustice. Everything about this place is even better than the listing. Communication with Geeta was prompt, helpful, and very cordial. This is also the first place we have stayed at that we didn’t need to bring anything. They had it all. Highly, highly recommended.

Wonderful 2 Day Weekend

The house was just how it was described. It was pristine and modern on the inside and had everything we needed…and more! We forgot our toiletry bags and coffee creamer at home, but luckily the house had free toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc. It even had a snack, cereal and coffee bar! We enjoyed the sauna and the game room. We were there for the weekend to enjoy the snow up in the mountain, but enjoyed staying at this house even more. The best thing about it is the gracious, sweet, and thoughtful hostess, Geeta. She was very responsive and kind. We would come back again!

Great for all types of groups including dogs and babies

Our recent stay was an absolute dream for our work team + our 1.5 year old & doggy. This was our first getaway as a company and Geeta truly made it special. Traveling with a baby and a dog can be stressful but Geeta’s place was completely baby proofed and very dog friendly, equipped with a baby gate, a baby carrier, a doggy waste station, a leash and dog bowl! We really appreciated the highchair and the baby utensils. We also found two tricycles in the garage which were an instant hit with the baby. You definitely won’t have to bring your own baby toys with, as this house included children’s books, toys, games, and even an electronic activity/learning station. The kitchen was a huge highlight of our stay. It had any appliance you would need. Every night we made elaborate meals that wouldn’t have been possible in a smaller kitchen. We appreciated the wide variety of spices on the rack and the breakfast corner with complementary snacks and cereals. We made use of the bbq grill as well! We also appreciated the beautifully set table upon our arrival. Thank you, Geeta for making our first work trip one for the books. We would 100% recommend anyone stay here and will tell our friends about it.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness and welcoming vibe when we arrived - the dining table was set beautifully with flowers and a bottle of wine, welcome note, etc. Excellent communication from host, all rooms were well equipped, and the common areas were just as big or bigger than they appeared in the pictures. We spent a lot of time on the deck and cooking in the well-supplied kitchen. We used the spices, cookware, cereal, coffee, tea, cookies and toiletries provided. We enjoyed the cute downtown Nevada City and went for a swim in the Yuba River. We ran out of ice at one point and the host even offered to Instacart some ice to us! Above and beyond service.Plenty of parking. We had six people sleeping over and cooked for a total 11 people with guests every night, plenty of plates and utensils for this size crowd or even bigger.Highly recommend!

This was a quick trip. We were in town for a graduation. Great location. House was very clean and well stocked. We forgot to bring coffee and creamer and when we got there they had several bags of coffee to choose from with a large canister of sugar and assortment of creamers. Bathrooms had everything needed. We highly recommend this home

Perfect Stay!!

Six of us stayed here for a wedding and it was perfect! It was clean and exactly like the pictures. It was close to downtown but still secluded in the woods. The host was super responsive and very nice. I’d stay here again for sure!!

The perfect family get away

We traveled to Nevada city to celebrate my birthday as a big group of 8. This property had everything we needed and more. Our host was always available to answer any questions we had during our stay. If you’re looking to have a nice worry free get away this is the one for you.

Exceptional Property!

Everything about our stay was exceptional. We stayed at the property over a long weekend with our fairly large group (including toddlers and dogs) and found it to be spacious and comfortable. Not only was it spotless, but there were plenty of thoughtful details (toothpaste, soap, cereal, cookies, etc.) provided by the host. Furniture was well-appointed--and I slept in the most comfortable bed I've ever experienced in a short term rental. If I had to split hairs, my only gripe is that I think the pool table might have had a slight tilt to it? Would recommend 10/10.

Our home is very special as it is a custom built home from the 70's by the Lancaster family of Nevada City. It sits on 1 Acre and is surrounded by beautiful tall redwoods and pines. The home has been updated with beautiful touches. We took over the home in December of 2021 and have furnished it with Mid Century Modern Decor to stay true to the homes time period.

This property has something for everyone all year round. For the Winter, we often get snow storms and the property is super cozy with 2 wood fireplaces and a cozy fire pit for those cool nights. For the Spring and Summer months, our guests can enjoy the near by Lake for Camping, fishing, water skiing and more. Additionally, you will be pleased to find many award winning wineries, restaurants and local attractions such as the Empire Mine only minutes from our home. Lefty's grill is a very popular restaurant with excellent late brunch with seating over deer creek. During Christmas time, Nevada City holds it's annual Victorian Christmas and hosts thousands of excited guests from all over. If you want more, then you will surely enjoy all the special shops and boutiques Nevada City has to offer.
