Nestled in the heart of Timber Cove, our charming cottage has been completely remodeled.

Enjoy views of the stunning bluffs and panoramic ocean. Find the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. Quail cottage is your gateway to the beauty of the Northern Coast.

"Gorgeous newly renovated property, modern, upscale furnishings and very well equipped. Thoughtful touches of books, games, toiletries and kitchen condiments were welcome. Beautiful views from the very spacious deck, easy stroll to bluffs where could hear seals barking and watch hawks swooping. We had a wonderful long weekend there, even extended our stay to ride out a dramatic coastal storm in this warm, cozy, lovely home from home" written by guest.

Please note, house in on Hwy One, busy traffic and expect some noise, neighbors may be remodeling, power and internet may go out, water is safe to drink but you may prefer to bring bottled water, 3 steps to entrance, open fencing, watch children and pets, dog gate available under deck, small store nearby with basics and gas, nearest beach is Ft Ross State park, drive is very curvy, other homes nearby yet very remote.

Beautiful Getaway

We came looking for a nice place to get away and be near the ocean. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot! Beautiful sunsets on the giant deck, great ocean and star gazing from the telescope too! Plenty of room for our family of four, the cottage is in great shape, nicely remodeled bathroom, cozy beds. Everything we were looking for, can’t recommend this spot enough. We hope to be back soon!

We love our gem of a cottage up along the coast, just north of Ft Ross Lodge, near the Timber Cove Lodge. Incredible spot to enjoy nature! We love to spend time sitting on the deck, listening to seals, watching birds, gardening and take long strolls to the bluff's edge to watch sunsets bursting with color.

Why they chose this property

We had been looking for a coastal dream home for years, and this house is just perfect for us. We remodeled the home, and now enjoy relaxing at our cottage. It is truly magical and so peaceful. Our property has the best of both worlds, the ocean and the forest. Hiking, kayaking, whale watching, star gazing, mushroom foraging, wineries, beaches, dining, lots to explore and appreciate all the nature around us. Great central location to visit Gualala and Sea Ranch to the north, Russian River to the East, Bodega Bay to the south.

What makes this property unique

The views are incredible! The house has been remodeled, offering charm and comfort. Everything is new! The sounds of the ocean, being in nature, quiet and remote make this cottage perfect for a nice relaxing vacation. Our house offers a great location to explore the coast in all directions, or just enjoy the expansive deck with breathtaking ocean views!
