The most fulfilling parts of the lifestyle of off grid living is the connection with nature: waking up each morning to the sounds of nature, being able to walk outside in the morning and feel the fresh air while you sip your hot morning beverage while listening to the sounds of the birds singing, the cool morning breeze blowing, the goats on the hills lifting their head to look at you while you lay back in your hammock! Wauw!
Or take a hike and witnessing Aruba’s unusual, beautiful flora and fauna. Staying at Cunuc’i Cristi is the perfect spot for a private experience near the locals.

The location is ideal for adventurous travelers looking for a balanced exposure between a fun-filled vacation and having their very own private hut on the island. If you want to explore …, you are close to the nicest beaches that are frequently visited by locals and tourists. The closest beach, Santo Largo, is just a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute bike ride away. Or Mangel Halto a 10-minute drive or 20-minute bike ride.

Although the cottage located in the middle of nature, you can still have easy access to all the popular locations, attractions, beaches and tourist hot spots.

Get away from the busier side of the island and enjoy a private stay completely surrounded by Aruba's nature, nestled in the hills, centrally located on the Island. This cottage is one of two on the property (we live in the other). Our facility offers our guests, desiring a quiet sanctuary escape, amenities such as access to the pool which is shared with us. The cottage has a sleeping area with a queen size bed, private bathroom with hot water and an outdoor cooking area (kitchen with stove, oven and refrigerator). All towels, bedding and linens are provided.

Cunuc’i Cristi is all about the experience of tranquility. We would like our guests to be grounded with our nature.

We recommend renting a car during your stay with us.
We live completely green and off grid(we have solar panels and batteries). It is important to know that we are very attentive of the usage of the power we have. That is why we have specific usage for the air conditioning. We will ask that you do not use more than 9 hours (between 4 pm to 8 am) and please set the temperature at minimum 23ᴼ Celsius or 73ᴼ Fahrenheit.

Please be aware you will stay at our place for the experience: the serenity. It is not a luxurious cottage. Rather, we are situated in a unique and wonderful area in nature, so keep that in mind when considering a stay with us; it will be a soul enriching. You will be secluded from traffic, have the unique experience of nature's darkness in order to admire the stars and all that comes with being in nature. You can also come in close contact with Aruba’s wildlife, for example: wild goats, wild donkeys, centipedes, bugs, bees, rabbits, lizards, iguana’s, birds, (rare and venomous) snakes, etc.

Christine/Emely is a great host. She is welcoming and helpful. The apartment had everything we needed. Having access to the pool was great. Being somewhere quiet and away from the busy and touristy areas was great, but we were still conveniently very close to several good restaurants and grocery stores.We would recommend staying here to any independent travellers and we'd love to stay here again if we return to Aruba.

Off the grid in Paradise.

Staying at this property was AMAZING!!! The check in process a hassle free and so was our stay there. The location is close to everything. If you are looking for a place away from the hustle bustle of the everyday live, this is the place. Property looks exactly like the photos, if not better. THIS PLACE IS A GEM!!

Amazing time

We loved our stay in Savaneta! Christine and Carlos were perfect hosts, they even picked us up from the airport. The property is gorgeous and somewhat secluded (which is nice if you would like to visit the non-resort side of Aruba). The beaches on the south of the island are super close by and pristine. The apartment was clean and cozy, we particularly loved cooking our meals outdoors. Make sure to rent a car, it’s a bit of a trek to get to the property. But when you get there, definitely check out the hikes around Christine’s place.

A Hidden Gem

This gated Off-Grid place was beyond our expectations. Every amenity you could ever need with the best Host ever!! We spent 12days during December, allowing us to settle in and feel at home with the locals. You are surrounded by gardens and Moringa trees. The hosts attention to detail makes your stay comfortable and relaxing. The outside kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities and even a BBQ . Having the private pool to retreat too after a long hot day was the best. The air-conditioning at night allowed for a comfortable sleep. If you feed the 'quiet' chickens (scraps from the fruits & vegetables you eat), you are welcome to their delicious farm fresh eggs :) The added bonus is being greeted each day by the hosts loving dogs. This place is so Quiet & Peaceful, you won't be disappointed!!

An infestation of fruit flies made the apartment unlivable in the week we booked. They cup in your ears, nose and eyes. The dog was completely covered. No spray will help. After three days of discusion the owner said she was willing to refund half of the rent, only if I would write a positive review first. Incredible! The cute chicken’s you see in the photo are in a run less than a meter away from the apartment. This attracts flies. The two doors of the appartement have no mosquito screens. Before you go to sleep you must therefore spray with poison in the bedroom. The view is ruined by a rusted container left there.

Wonderful hosts !!!

We stayed here to be near the national park and to avoid the chaos of the tourist areas. Christine and Carlos are wonderful hosts. They were available any time but also respectful of our privacy. They took time to share a hike and a meal with us and show us around the area. We really enjoyed the time spent with them. The suite is beautiful, clean and new with a nice view of the surrounding national park. The outdoor space and gardens are beautiful and private and separate from the main house so you have your own space. You will definitely need a car as it is a bit remote but still close enough to get to the beach in 5 mins. Many nice beaches and restaurants and hiking close by. The only issue we encountered were some gnats that apparently come out after it rains a lot. They were a bit bothersome and we had to keep doors closed at times. Christine brought us bug spray and repellant sticks which helped. I believe this is an occasional occurrence and not a constant thing and we just happened to be there after a big rain. We were gone most of the days exploring the island and ate out every night so we mainly slept here. The AC at night made the suite very comfortable. It’s very quiet, bed is comfortable.

Nous avons séjourné 4 nuits chez Christine! Ce fut un très beau séjour. Nous avons eu une journée sans vent, ce qui est très rare à Aruba. Les insectes s’en sont donné à coeur joie! Nous aurions pris un peu plus d’eau chaude dans la douche. Mise à part, c’était un endroit exceptionnel, loin du bruit où nature et tranquillité sont très appréciées. Lit très très confortable. Cuisine extérieure complète et magnifique! Piscine extérieure très appréciée. Merci Christine!

Amazing nature getaway

Loved the remote location that was still close to amazing beaches, activities, and restaurants. The garden is beautiful and serene. Outdoor kitchen was a fun experience and enjoyed eating breakfast in nature.
