Really great week for a family reunion. Great accommodations for 14 for 1/2 the week. The pontoon was a big bonus to hang out on and the renters were very quick to respond to some minor issues. Hope to go back soon!
Overall we loved the accommodations! 12 ladiesBeautiful, rustic decorations, cozy, spacious, convenient, clean and nicely located. Host was easy to get a hold of and friendly!
A very clean and accommodating property for a large family vacation. Many extras: games, puzzles, cards, etc. Quiet property and a very nice pontoon to use.
The ambiance was one of the best things about this lodge. It has an amazing wildlife feeling. The main room was large and extremely comfortable for gatherings. The kitchen had cooking ware for all the basics. Our family had a wonderful time here and would come again.
The cabin exceeded our expectations since it was even more impressive than the on-line photos. It had all we needed and more for our 8 person family vacation. The addition of the pontoon boat was also fantastic since Round Lake is large and scenic. Our overall rating is 5+ stars!
Property was very spacious. The addition of the pontoon was a nice add on. Very quite property even with being on a resort. We had a good time. The property as a whole could use a deep clean inside and out.
Nice lodge and very clean. We loved the pontoon also and was a newer model with lots if space. The lodge walls had interesting artwork and artifacts to enjoy. The beds were good and linens clean and fresh! The kitchen was well equipped. We fell in live with Round Lake!
Beautiful log cabin lodge for 14.
We had 10 and lots of space.loved the decor location check in and everything else! Added bonus pontoon boat but we only used 2 times
Our three-generation family had an enjoyable stay at this property. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and as described. There were plenty of things to do and there was plenty of run for everyone to spread out. The pontoon is a nice touch. Keith was very responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was beautiful clean on the inside. The boat and patio were not cleaned. When I brought it to their attention they were very helpful!
Awesome facility. Excellent and beautiful location. Amenities were well thought out and lodge was prepared for all 12 guests. Very clean, lots of natural decor which made for great browsing. Pontoon availability made it very convenient. Lake water very clear and clean. Beautiful lake. Easy drive to get anything you may need. Local restaurant and bar next to property. Hayward town was wonderful and made a quicknouting to state parks and Lake Superior. We are booking for next year for sure! 10 out of 10!
The property is beautiful & great for a larger family gathering. The decor is wonderful. We have a few suggestions. We noticed there were no steak knives, if someone would want to grill steaks or meat that needs cutting with a serrated knife. Also dish soap was not provided, dishwasher detergent was provided, more garbage bags should have been left especially if a person is renting the lodge for a larger family gathering, & you plan to use the pontoon & take garbage bags for trash. The fireplace didn't work, we contacted the maintenance man & stated it should work, it failed to work for us, it would also been helpful to have written instructions how to use the tv in the living room if took us a couple of days to figure it out, as it was rainy a couple of days during our stay, also instructions for the dishwasher would have been helpful. The games that were provided are great, a very nice variety. The pontoon is a very nice plus. We really enjoyed our stay, not sure about renting again due to all the extra fees a person needs to pay. Don't understand the host fees, when you're already paying a service fee to have the lodge/cabin cleaned, then there is a property damage fee, & lodging tax. So when all the fees are charged you're almost paying another 50% of what it cost to stay in the lodge per night. No mention of getting any refunds on some of these fees, when you leave the lodge/cabin as it was when you arrived. We did take our own water, as the water does have a smell, we did realize that it was well water.
We called 4 hours from arrival and had received the welcome letters so knew the door code. The maintenance man said he would be off by the time we arrived but we did find the key to the pontoon. The next day we called and by then we figured out which dock and boat went w the lodge. He had been helping a family member w deer hunting, lost his phone, and had to go back to the field to find the phone. It all worked out!
Was unsure how much cleanup was expected so I vacuumed the entire house, emptied all garbage and recycling and had the dishwasher going when we left. Pretty much the only cleaning left would have been clean linens and shower cleanup.
The lodge was large and perfect for a big family. We were a party of 11 and had lots of room to spread out. Kids loved it! Very clean! Pontoon was an added bonus. Lots of interesting decorations!! Had a great time!!
Very clean and greatly decorated. This place is a great find. All furniture, beds, and linens are top notch. Appliances are greatly quality. Pontoon boat is a great add on to this property that we used every day. Walk across parking lot to Powells restaurant for great casual lunch dinner or drinks. Will definitely come back.
Beautiful Rustic Lodge (pictures don’t do it justice)
We stayed up here over the 4th of July. There were 8 adults and one infant, the bedroom layout and living space was ample room for our group. The eclectic cabin decorations made you feel like you’re truly in the north woods. Steps away from round lake, this place was our home base while exploring Hayward and enjoying round lake. The boat was super nice and also enough room for our group. We made good use of the enormous kitchen and bon fire. Life long memories were made. We’re looking forward to booking here again for our next family get together.
