Come stay with us and enjoy the perfect blend of beautiful weather and breathtaking views at our cozy lake front retreat. The “Roadside” at ‘Bout Dam Time is a unique funky lakeside duplex located on Crystal Cove that's perfect for a relaxing getaway! If you’re nature lovers, rock hunters, bird watchers, beach combers, tree huggers, porch sitters, star gazers or just like being outside, this is the place for you! Wake up to a cup of coffee and watch the incredible sunrise over the water! Be one with nature and soak it all in! You can listen to the peaceful songs of many species of birds and watch them soar high above the clouds while you look for shells along the beach. When you’re finished exploring, enjoy a fresh craft brew at our onsite Brewpub under beautiful oak trees or in the relaxing spa with 5 massage chairs (cold in the summer months & hot in the winter months), a gentle breeze and amazing view of the dam. As night falls cozy up by the fire pit and take in the night sky filled with stars! Bring your telescope. When you’re ready to turn in you have all the relaxation of home waiting in the cabin! Wonderful stay!

Though we were only there to sleep and shower, we found the place to be very clean and inviting! We thought the hot tub was private but other than that, it was a great stay!

Family Getaway

Family gathering for a long weekend and needed extra space in addition to the main cabin. This was perfect. Plenty of towels, kitchen dishes and bonus of beach towels and camping chairs. Very clean and beds were comfy. Hosts were great and will definitely come back.!

Boys break

Perfect home base for a fishing trip with my boys. The property is clean and cozy with everything you need. Beds were comfortable and the location right on Lake Buchanon can't be beat. And Buffy and John were fantastic hosts. Very friendly and accommodating, responsive and helpful beyond expectations! Thanks for a wonderful getaway.

Good experience but not factual

The little house is cute but far from most things. Thought the hot tub was in the backyard from the pictures but it's not, it's a shared space. Thought it was easy access to the lake but it was not and there isn't a fire pit. For 600 for the weekend it sure doesn't fit the description.

Great place to stay on Lake Buchanan

It seems that we were the first ones to stay at the Roadhouse. It was well stocked with pots & pans, utensils, towels, and cleaning supplies. Very clean. The bathroom did not have a curtain or blinds, so our daughter made a window covering out of a towel. We did know that there were other guests on the property, but we didn’t realize that they were on the other side of the wall. We could hear talking early in the morning, but nothing bothersome, but just be aware. Overall, it’s a great place to stay for the lake. Just research how low the lake will be if you plan on having a leisurely walk along the bank. Oh!!! Don’t lock yourself out like I did! I had to charge my phone and all information was on it—thank goodness for iWatches!!! Buffy was great about getting the info to us so we could get back in.

Just as a follow-up, we have since put up a curtain in the bathroom and installed additional sound equipment between the two rentals. :) We will also keep our site updated as the lake levels fluctuate to keep folks informed.
