Not a stay for the elderly
This unit has a step between living room and kitchen/den and another different-sized one at the entrance to the bedroom, which are challenging to a guest with arthritis or who tends to forget those details during the night. I found using a cane in the apartment very helpful. The entrance involves several uneven steps as well.
The kitchen is smaller than the picture suggests. Many of the utensils did not appear to be completely clean; silverware was scant and stored in a closet without a latch rather than a secure drawer. There were two bottles of olive oil, both of which smelled rancid. The salt shaker was caked up. The switch for the kitchen disposal was not apparent, and the kitchen sink became clogged with food debris.
Admittedly the grout in the terracotta tile flooring and bathroom sink counter is hard to clean, but the tiles could have been cleaned better. There was dirt buildup at the base of the dishwasher and the bathroom sink. The dining-table chairs were uncushioned metal. A small porch was hard to notice and not well maintained. A warm duvet was not provided, but rather a number of twin-sized thin blankets/throws.
I ended up leaving a day early on a 4-day stay.
