About this property
Mid Century Retro Top Floor Studio in Downtown Anchorage with Views
This studio is on the 6th floor of a historical building in the heart of the city. The mountain views are so beautiful from up here. The studio is filled with vintage mid century modern decor, and the stocked kitchen has the original metal cabinets and sink from the 1950's. There's a Cali King bed, just perfect for two people. While the décor is darling, the best thing about this place is the location to everything that is downtown. So many restaurants, pubs, shops and art galleries. There are a few bike rental places open in summer which are perfect for the coastal trail that begins at the park just down by the water. The building locks at night, but if you arrive before 5:00pm, check in is simple. You won't need me, just the codes. This historic building has a boiler in the basement, and the plumbing is an "entire building" issue. It's a charming old girl, with a beautiful lobby and elevator, but she requires love and maintenance. Sometimes the water has to be shut down for a few hours, that is just part of being in a historical building. She is beautiful, but she's got some miles and she is not perfect. While I find furry babies absolutely adorable, I am deathly allergic. This building has a very strict screening process and charges a fine of $100 per day if they are brought into the building, so that made the building appealing to me when I purchased, on a personal safety issue. So, please, don't make it weird by asking, please just move on to a pet friendly listing. I am not trying get sick nor do I want to litigate with my HOA, I just want to have a nice tiny business with no drama. Thanks for being cool about it. Coin Op Laundry room on site. There is no separate bedroom in this 398 square foot studio condo.

If you plan on spending a lot of time in Anchorage, this is the place to stay! The location is within walking distance to so many great things. And the train station is a 5 min walk. We would definitely stay here again!
The description of this adorable studio is exactly what it looks like. Very clean, location is perfect, and quiet neighbors. Definitely will stay again.

The location was perfect, the view amazing, and the price budget-friendly. But the thing I love most, was the feel of the space. The flat is tastefully decorated, clean, and cozy.
The apartment was super clean. The location was perfect...we walked around downtown for the first 3 days of our stay. The parking space was so convenient once we got a rental car. We felt safe due to multiple locked points of entry. Communication was excellent!
This was a great studio apartment in downtown Anchorage. It was cozy and comfortable, it had a fun vibe with a retro décor. It was in a very walkable area to all of downtown Anchorage. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. Overall, I was very pleased.
Very secure , close to everything , walk to the train station and to the fishing spots. The host was awesome in letting us drop off our bags early. The decor is retro and very cute. I could tell she really enjoyed the decorating. The top floor provides a nice view of the mountain tops.
This is a super cute property that I loved the mid century modern vibe. SUPER clean. Great location in walking distance to everything downtown. Building has great security. It is an older building but very well maintained. Elevator to upper floors!
Has everyone you would need if you wanted to cook which I thought we might but there were so many restaurants close by that we never did cook.
I would stay here again and send my friends here!
We had a really nice trip in Anchorage visiting family and sightseeing. This studio was the perfect size and location for two adults who basically need a place to stay. The unit is right downtown and a less than 5 minute walk to breweries, restaurants, ice cream and shopping. However its location also means that its right next to the train and the windows are very thin. The train runs throughout the night and the whistle woke us up on a few occasions. The door to the bathroom is also extremely sticky and loud which can also wake up your partner. We also had a hiccup with check-in where we weren't sent the instructions and had to contact the host but they were very quick and accommodating and got us into the unit.
Overall we had a good stay and the location, price and having accessible parking was a big part of that.

Thank you for letting us know about the bathroom door, it has been repaired.
The automated service with VRBO directly email the check in instructions, unfortunately, on occasion, they go to spam. We are grateful that you were quickly accommodated, and got inside safe and sound.
Thank you choosing Corporate Rentals by Carrie, and we are happy that you were able to enjoy all that downtown Anchorage has to offer.
We stayed here for a friend’s wedding in ANC. The condo is just about perfect! The location is great, the free parking that comes with the condo is great for downtown. Communication with the owner was top notch, check in was easy. The condo is equipped well with kitchen needs, linens and bathroom needs.
The only downside was, unfortunately my husband and I have sensitivities to scents. The bed linens were clean, but the detergent or fabric softener was so strong that we both woke up with headaches. Now, it wasn’t an unpleasant scent. But I think switching to a unscented product would work best for all.
Also the condo is in earshot to a train yard. The train horns are infrequent but loud. I wasn’t a fan. My husband loved it.
Overall, we loved everything about the condo and would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it!!
This adorable studio apartment is in an ideal location -right smack in the middle of downtown Anchorage. Tons of amazing restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. The decor is super cute, it was immaculately clean, and well provisioned. The host though, was top notch. Very easy to communicate with. Very helpful. Very informative. She went above and beyond to ensure that I had the best stay possible. Highly recommend!
Perfect place to call home during our Alaskan adventure
The host is awesome. Very easy to get in contact with and extremely communicative. The place is exactly as described. Super super clean. The location is a short walk to downtown restaurants , bars and shopping. Short and easy drive to and from the airport. Anchorage itself worked perfectly for us as a base to travel to Denali, Whittier, Cooper Landing etc. We wouldn’t change a thing!
