Beautiful cabin in sugarloaf

This cabin was exactly how it was described. It was very clean, very comfortable and located really close to the village. Cory was an amazing host Called us as soon as we arrived to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. It was a pleasure staying in his beautiful home and look forward to going back.

Wonderful Hawaiian Condo

Our stay was so wonderful in this clean beautifully decorated Condo. We loved hearing the wave action all the while there. The owner Mo was helpful in every way. The condo was well stocked and everything was so comfortable. The Bed, the shower the living room. The grounds are lush and well kept. And the sunsets are so beautiful. We hope to return soon. Mahalo

Bear Escapes II - Sugarloaf, CA

First of all… let me say that the owner (Cory) went above and beyond to make my family’s stay great. Not only was the cabin perfect for all of us, but our dog loved it too! We couldn’t have asked for a better location. It’s situated in Sugarloaf with a short walk to both the nearest market (Easy’s General Store) and sports bar & grill (Kallan’s). The location delivers the best of both worlds. Only a 10 minute drive to the Village and resorts, or a 2 minute drive away from the crowds to find a hillside for our kiddos to go sledding. We knew we had found a hidden gem when my kids asked “can we come back to this same cabin next year?!” Looking forward to our next stay at Bear Escapes II. Thanks Cory!

We loved staying at the cabin. It's very lovely with little details that make you smile. You can tell the owners take time to prep it and ensure that it's comfortable for the guests. Cory's communication is what sets it apart. From the get-go he was very responsive and made me feel like it was OK to ask all the questions. The cabin has all the necessities. My youngest son and I played multiple rounds of corn hole every night and I was grateful that Cory included that game for the guests to bond over and enjoy. Another key for us was the thermostat worked well and the temp in the cabin was up to our liking at all times. Also, great feature was that smart TV had most of the subscription services available and signed in, so I did not have to remember my passwords and struggle with that every night. Overall, a very nice place (well kept) and a very nice host that made our stay memorable and enjoyable. Thank you, Cory!!!

What began as a childhood dream of owning a cabin in Big Bear Lake—meant to be enjoyed by our family and friends—has grown into a new adventure. Hosting allows us to share our love for the mountains, the lake, and the experiences that make this place so special with family, friends, and all who enjoy mountain and lake life. ©

Why they chose this property

Peaceful, quiet, and family-friendly, this neighborhood offers excellent hiking and biking trails, a local general store, restaurant, and post office—all within walking distance or a short drive. A nearby recreational park features space for exercising, basketball courts, skateboarding ramps, and other outdoor activities. The cabin is tucked away from the downtown crowds, yet just minutes from dining, shopping, ski slopes, snow play, and Big Bear Lake village. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a unique, relaxing, and private mountain escape—without the noise, traffic, and hustle of town. ©

What makes this property unique

Beyond offering a beautiful, fully equipped, and meticulously maintained cabin with great amenities, I go above and beyond as a host to create an exceptional guest experience. What makes Bear Escapes II truly unique is its custom woodworking throughout, a full-size kitchen, and a spacious open-concept layout with comfortable living areas and bedrooms. The décor features just the right touch of traditional cabin charm—warm and inviting without feeling cluttered. We also uphold the highest cleaning standards on the mountain and genuinely enjoy hosting, helping our guests create beautiful, lasting memories. ©
