We have a relaxing rental tucked away on Jamestown Drive. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, coffee grinder, and toaster. Gather around the dining table and enjoy meals together, or step out onto the porch and relax in the outdoor furniture. On the porch you will also find the outdoor grill ready to grill up your freshly caught fish.

The rental also features essentials to start your stay (soaps, shampoo, lotion), a hair dryer, and towels and linens for you comfort. Unwind in the living room, or delve into the selection of books. Stay connected with the provided WiFi, and enjoy your favorite shows on the smart TV.

The property was lovely & comfortable, well-appointed, & very clean. It's a downstairs apartment but still had a view of the bay. Our hosts were friendly & helpful & very conscientious about any noise from upstairs. It was an excellent experience & we would rent from them again.

We had a tranquil and pleasant stay. Taxis got us back and forth to town. Apartment is nicely furnished, cosy and had a good layout. I liked the mauve soft sheets.

About the host

Hosted by Mike and Pam Kernin

Mike and I are longtime Sitkans. If we can't answer a question about our community we probably know someone who can. We are active both on land and in the ocean and enjoy helping our guests enjoy Sitka. Mike also does whale and wildlife tours so if you are interested in booking a tour give us a shout.

Why they chose this property

The rental is in the lower portion of the home that Pam grew up in and was built by her parents. We overlook beautiful Jamestown Bay where we can often see Eagles, Whales, and other creatures. Closer to home we have Hummingbirds enjoying our feeders, Blue Jays, various other small birds, squirrels, and often Deer in the front lawn.

Our rental is located in a small, quiet neighborhood where we know each other personally and watch out for each other. It has been home for almost 50 years where four generations have grown together.

What makes this property unique

I am a little partial to the neighborhood since I have been here for almost 50 years. Looking out over Jamestown Bay and the expanse of the ocean it can feel like you are lost in your own little oasis but really town, boating, hiking, and Sitka amenities are only a couple of miles away.
