Il Melo - Theater Home, with marvellous lake view

The apartment "Il Melo" is located in the hamlet of Oldesio (Tignale), in an absolutely panoramic position, about 7 km away. from Lake Garda. "Il Melo" is part of the characteristic "Rustico Il Melograno", typical house of the place, renovated with great care so as not to distort the typicality of the building. Furnished with a refinement of details in a contemporary rustic style that creates a warm and romantic atmosphere. It has every comfort to make your holiday relaxing. On the particular roof terrace, you can rest while admiring the fantastic view of Lake Garda and Monte Baldo. Guests have at their disposal a small furnished common patio, with barbecue and a parking space. At approx. 2 km is the centre of Gardola, within walking distance, where there are restaurants, pizzerias, shops etc. at approx. 3 km the municipal swimming pool ", the Visitor Center. In a few minutes by car or with the transfer (free for our customers) we reach the well-equipped beach" Pra dela Fam ".

The apartment is a three-room apartment on the first floor of approx. 70 square meters and can accommodate from 2 to 4 people. It consists of a living room with kitchenette, two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a terrace with a lake view. Comforts include the kitchen (4 burners and extractor fan), oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, German coffee maker, Nespresso coffee machine with pods, toaster, kettle, courtesy set, dish detergent, dishcloth and set of placemats, hairdryer, washing machine, satellite TV, ironing board and Wi-Fi line. One parking space.

Sport and health: outdoor pool 2 km away, tennis court 1 km away, mountain-bike (possibility to rent them in the Tabaccheria Ferrero), sailing and surfing at about 7 km at the Port of Tignale. Golf about 13 km away at Golf Bogliaco.

Der Blick auf den See ist fantastisch und die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist gut. Es war leider nicht wirklich sauber in der Wohnung. Die Parkplatzsituation zum Aus- und Einpacken ist leider nicht so toll.

Wunderbare, ruhig gelegene Ferienwohnung mit tollem Blick auf den Gardasee. Objekt war wie beschrieben und die Kommunikation mit der Agentur funktionierte tadellos. Ein kleiner Laden für Waren des täglichen Bedarfs ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Restaurants kann man problemlos zu Fuß erreichen. Für Ausflüge ist ein Auto unbedingt erforderlich.

Eine sehr schöne Wohnung, aber...

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Die eine Etage höher gelegene Terrasse bietet zwar einen super Ausblick, ist mit einem älteren Kunstrasen, einem in der Ecke stehenden und von Holzwürmern zerfressenen Stuhl, dort weiteren abgestellten ausrangierten antiken Möbeln und der Dachluke, die schon länger nicht mehr von Spinnenweben befreit wurde, aber Geschmackssache. Dort wirkt alles leider eher muffig und dunkel.

Herbsturlaub am Gardasee

Die Ferienwohnung entsprach unseren Vorstellungen und ist wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man hat einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Gardasee und ist schnell in der kleinen Ortsmitte. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. uns haben ein paar Kleinigkeiten im Badezimmer gestört. In der Toilettenbrille war ein Riss und in der Deckenlampe brannte von 3 Glühbirnen nur eine Glühbirne, die im Verlauf unseres Urlaubs auch erlosch. Auch über ein kleines Stück Seife hätten wir uns gerade in Coronazeiten gefreut.

Positives: stunning view from balcony and bedroom windows, spacious, clean, very well equipped and maintained, dishwasher, whirlpool bath, large shower, stone walls, quiet, quite well located for trips/days out (eg. Limone, ferry to Malcesine, Riva, Gardaland, Dolomite bus tour), exceptional restaurant nearby, friendly and accommodating owner. Negatives/observations/suggestions for improvement: There are two apartments on offer on this listing and there is no opportunity to make a choice. By chance we got the bigger of the two which had its own balcony. Perhaps this could be made clearer at the booking stage. On arrival the arrangement is that one is required to check in to an agency in town which is tricky to find (even with sat nav) then find somewhere to park(again difficult). We were then told to meet the owner in another car park and then follow her to the apartment. It would have been so much less stressful if we could have gone directly to the apartment and met the owner/agency rep. there especially after our long drive from the airport. Oldesio is situated high above Lake Garda and is on a beautiful but precarious mountainous road. The road is not for the faint hearted. One is required to pay a damage deposit to the owner on arrival of 150 euros. Within five minutes of our arrival we decided to sit on the balcony and put the parasol up only to find that it was broken. We immediately informed the owner by phone and she had it replaced within days. Ideally this should have been noticed prior to our arrival. The listing on Homeaway indicates that the apartment has air con. Some of the days were very hot and we had the air con on but did not feel that it was reducing the temperature by much. We put this down to the stone walls perhaps retaining the heat. We had assumed that aircon was included in the price of the rental. On a notice in the apartment we later read that there was a charge of 10 euros per day that the air con is on. Since it did not seem to be working and not included in our rental I queried this with the owner who said there would be no charge and that her husband would get an air con unit to us. This did not materialise. If there is air con it should obviously work and it should be made clear on the Homeaway listing if it is included or not.
