Be close to everything in this mid-century North Central Austin house. A long driveway, extra gravel drive, and carport is great for multiple vehicles, while the huge lot and fully fenced, private backyard is great for hanging out and having a few drinks at sundown on the deck while your dogs run around.
This is a very car-heavy neighborhood, though you can walk to Noño's Tacos at the gas station down the street.
Bus stops are within walking distance, but can be sketchy at night.
The North Lamar Transit Center is 1 mile away. It features a park and ride lot and is served by several local bus routes as well as MetroRapid Route 801.
The neighborhood is transitioning and has some gritty spots and occasional characters. Please use caution and common sense when walking around at dusk/dark.
There's a king bed in the main bedroom, while a second bedroom has a blow-up mattress for visiting guests. The third bedroom functions as an office with a WiFi printer and bookcase. Like many ranch homes from the 1950s, the rooms are a bit small, but each has its own closet and windows.
The open kitchen is fully stocked with year-old fridge, dishwasher, and gas stove. The laundry room has almost-new washer and dryer, along with a drying rack and room for a small pantry.
The living room features a custom pink leather sectional, which can also sleep up to 2 people (or 4 dogs).
Plenty of parking here, which is good because Powell is a busy street. Cook a meal in the full-service kitchen, do some laundry, or chill on the deck in the privacy-fenced backyard with your pets!
There's also a built-in pet door that leads to the backyard -- it can fit up to 80-pound dogs.
