About this property

High above sleepy Coral Bay on Bordeaux Mountain sits the villa Skyflower and Skyflower Suite. The panoramic views are truly spectacular, looking out over the British Virgins, St. John's East End, and Coral Bay itself.

The Suite is an attractive, very private apartment on the lower level of the house, accessed by an outdoor staircase and a 90' mahogany deck. There is a comfortable living room with a small kitchen and dining counter, and a lovely bedroom with twin beds that are usually made up as a king. An attractive bath opens out to a tiled and private garden shower.

The owners live upstairs and are available for 'what to do and where to go' ideas should you need them.

The road up the mountain from Coral Bay is paved and the driveway is level with an easy parking area.

What a view!

We had a great stay at the Skyflower Suite. The view from the balcony of this property is stunning! The accommodations are comfortable and clean. The hosts are very gracious, and were helpful in suggesting things to check out on the island. Would definitely stay here again.

Little Piece of Paradise

This was our fourth time staying at Skyflower and it was as lovely as ever. The views are incredible and the suit with its expansive deck is has everything you need for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay on St. John. Bill and Jan are the best hosts and we so much appreciate them sharing their little piece of paradise with us.

Perfect Apartment With Spectacular View!!!

We just returned from a wonderful two week stay at Skyflower Suite. The apartment is spacious, private, beautifully furnished, comfortable, immaculate and everything you need for relaxation, the beach and cooking meals is provided. The view from the incredibly long deck is spectacular!! We loved the outdoor shower. Bill and Jan are lovely hosts who are not at all intrusive, but there for anything you need. Jan's delicious muffins were a treat for our first morning breakfast. They invited us up to the main living area for drinks and apps one evening and it was a pleasure to get to know them a bit and get a tour of the beautiful upper half of the villa. We highly recommend Skyflower Suite and hope to return in the future! Thank you Bill and Jan for sharing your little piece of Paradise! Linda and Alex

If you are here, reading this review, considering booking, then allow me to offer a suggestion: Do it now! This apartment was absolutely perfect for our weeklong stay in St. John to celebrate our anniversary. The view from the deck is indescribably amazing, the apartment includes all the conveniences you need, and your hosts, Bill and Jan, are friendly, helpful and happy to interact as much or as little as you'd like. This apartment is near Coral Bay, on the more quiet side of the island, which was very much to our liking. At night, the only sounds we heard were those made by the tropical wildlife surrounding us. With that said, there were at least five restaurants and three markets within a 10-minute drive down the hill. We found the location, like everything else, to be perfect. In short, this is a five-star apartment with absolutely wonderful hosts. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I live in Maine most of the year, and move to our house on St. John for four of the winter months. We enjoy being your 'on site hosts' during your stay in Skyflower Suite. We will interact with you as much as you like, or will leave you to yourselves during your stay.

Why they chose this property

The villa is set 1000 feet up and looks out over Coral Bay and surrounding islands. The view is remarkable. Constant cooling breezes provide natural air conditioning. Very private and quiet, but only five minutes from shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, and 15 minutes from beautiful beaches.

What makes this property unique

Skyflower Suite provides one of the most spectacular views in the Caribbean. It is peaceful, cozy, welcoming, and beautifully appointed. The owners pay careful attention to detail on the property, inside and out. Breezes are continual, coming in as easterly trade winds. The house was designed and built by the owners specifically for the site, so there are views from every room. Expansive decks allow plenty of room for outdoor sitting and soaking up the view. You'll want to take your morning coffee on the deck you watch the sun rise. You'll enjoy snorkeling, reading a good book on one of the many beaches, or hiking on St. John's extensive trail system. There are nearby fun places to grab a bite of lunch, or have an delicious, romantic dinner in the evening. You might want to try an afternoon siesta in the comfortable bedroom, or whip up a delicious rum punch or pina colada to enjoy on your deck. There are often bands playing at the local restaurants. Best of all, you'll want to come 'home' to this glorious spot at the end of each day!
