The apartment Casa Palmera 2 is located on the ground floor, in a very well-kept complex almost directly on the sea and on the beautiful beach of Playa de Las Americas. The door from the terrace leads directly to the pool. Access to the apartment is without stairs, which is very comfortable.

All shops, restaurants, hairdressing salons, banks and ATMs are within walking distance. The apartment has two bedrooms for 4 persons and there is a pull-out sofa bed in the living room, which offers a comfortable bed for 2 more persons. The apartment has a large terrace with sitting area. You can eat and breakfast out there together. The terrace lies to the quiet pool side, where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.
The cosy living area has a living room with flat screen TV with satellite programmes and a small stereo system. Internet is available free of charge via WLAN.
The kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. There is also a washing machine with iron and ironing board.
One of the bedrooms has a double bed, the second bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathroom has a modern shower.

The apartment is ideal for a bathing and beach vacation, also for a long-term vacation it is optimally suitable. The complex has a very nice pool area with sun loungers. The pool is heated in winter.

4 grown up people together in the appartment was okei !We were several times hiking in the mountains, but when I broke my ankle we started to roll the wheelchair insted :) Lucky for me the appartment is on the groundfloor !But som proposals to get the stay even better : 1 more beddings for all beds, 2 weeks without clean beddings is too long. 2 full set of keyes, both tags and keyes (2 couple). More wine glases, only 1 in the kitchen cabinet :) Thank you for the stay, we had a great time in spite of my accident :)Kristine Rød Solberg

Overall Not A Bad Place To Stay In Tenerife

The property was basic but had what we needed. Needs a little TLC but nothing to worry about. Pool was open and area clean & well kept. Wifi needs upgrading but overall was good for a short stay.

Brilliant and ideal for my mother who is in a wheelchair

This was a perfect apartment with everything including champagne glasses, which we used celebrating our wedding anniversary. The pool was cleaned every day from the friendly staff who maintain the complex. We are so impressed with these apartment we are booking again. Thanks again for a great holiday.

Perfect location, clean and good communication with host. However, very basic.

Only one key for outdoor gate. Shower v hot, almost unconfortably so. Many lights in apt not working. Bed not set up for my daughter on arrival but this was quickly addressed. Nowhere to leave luggage on last day. You need to pay extra to use safe. Perfect location so enjoyed stay but apt is overpriced.

Thank you for your review. I sent my colleague to look for the shower and he confirmed, that the water is coming very hot... If you would have contacted us regarding the lights, we would have been able to change the bulbs while your stay. We will do that today and we always have some spare bulbs in the cupboard in living room.

An apartment in some serious need for a deep clean and fix up - good location

A great location, clean and nice pool area and the apartment has pros like a big refrigerator with freezer, a washing machine and decent beds. On the other hand it is in a pretty poor state, the furniture are in an awful state, there were broken furniture on the terrace in a pile and the walls were so dirty it made us not want to stay there. Not at all like the pictures. Wanted to get a refund and find another place but owner refused since “we could stay there” and then he didn’t reply again while we stayed there. Sadly a big disappointment. Would like to share pictures to give others the chance to really know what they might be booking but it’s not possible in the review. Thank you for your review. However, some things are not true! First of all, the furnitures are not broken. If something would be damaged, our team would replace and change it asap. And regarding the cleaning, I can say that our cleaning team made an intensive cleaning with 2 persons before arrival. We are planning to paint the walls if we have some days without guests, but you can do that every 6 months because people don´t take care about the walls, they scratch with their luggages the walls.

Annual Tenerife Weekend

The ad shows a decent apartment , in reality it’s not , book somewhere else not here . One of us was bitten by bed bugs in one of the single beds on the second last night , the bedding is old , washed out and paper thin , there weren’t enough towels for four adults staying for 4 nights , the towels that were there were old and mismatched , the paint on the wall in the double bedroom is crumbling and flaking off and the wardrobes had a smell of dampness . We were met at the apartment by a lady who kept us at the entrance while she finished her call for 5 minutes , not the best first impression to make . I wouldn’t stay here again unless at gunpoint The apartment is clearly a property that’s been rented for an extended period of time without maintenance and investment which really is a shame as the development is spotless , pool area is immaculate and the location is fantastic , it just needs a few quid spent on maintenance , new beds , bedding , towels and bedside tables . Not a lot to be spent from the rent being charged to each guest to brin* this place up to standard Stevie

Thank you for your comments. It is not true that there were bed bugs. As you know, the owner was on site and did some repair work in the apartment in consultation with you. He also mentioned that you found the beds uncomfortable (nothing mentioned about bed bugs!). In fact, he bought new mattresses for all beds within 4 days (I think it was unfortunately after your departure that you could not use the new mattresses). We do not use broken bed linen, we regularly replace anything that can no longer be used.

Our stay at the Optimist

Casa Palmera is probably better equipped than my house. A lovely apartment that met all our needs. Plenty storage space and was very comfortable for the four of us. It was lovely and quiet and had a well maintained pool area. I would stay here again and highly recommend it. Communication with the Manager prior to our trip was excellent. We arrived late Saturday evening and I felt the agent who met us perhaps could have spent more than 5 minutes with us. I got the feeling he was in a rush and we were tired and didn't get to ask the questions that we wanted to. However, it was easy to call them the next day. As I said, the apartment had everything you needed, just a couple of points: Four chairs on the terrace need tightening up. They were quite shaky so we did not use them Need a new clothes airer for outside. 3 of the spars were broken and we broken one more when we tried to hang a pair of shorts on it. An information manual would have been very useful. An easy guide map, bus stops and times etc. The wifi connection was poor so we had difficulty looking up information. We had a lovely stay. Thank you.

Good but could have been better

I was looking for accommodation which had a pool and the description stated a heated pool which was open. I discovered the pool was not heated and more importantly the whole pool area was shut at the weekend. Due to the fact the property is in the shade the only alternative to sit in the sunshine was to sit within a play area on site which was full of cat paeces and wasps. I would also advise to book the property for a an extra night if you have a late flight as we had to leave at 10 with nowhere to leave our cases. On the positive side the property was well equipped in which the bed was possible the most comfortable I have experienced whilst on holiday. The location of the property is great, and the basketball court was a bonus. Overall I would recommend this accommodation.

Thank you very much for your kind review. Unfortunately the community had maintenance work on the pool during your stay and the pool was not usable for a weekend. I am sorry for that, but this was out of our influence. The pool is normally heated, I think that due to the current Covid situation there are very few guests in the complex and therefore the pool might not have been heated (as I said: normally the pool is heated). In summer the terrace has a lot of sun, so you can enjoy the sun very well. Even more, the pool with large sunbathing areas is only 3 metres away. It is no problem to stay longer than 10.00 if we don't have new arrivals on the same day. In your case, new guests arrived an hour later and the apartment still had to be cleaned by our stuff. You are always welcome to come back if you wish.

Great location and clean contemporary apartment

Great location with bus stop from airport next to complex. Location is superb just down the boulevard is the beach plenty of shops restaurants and bars at hand but apartment itself nice and quiet. Plenty of spare sunbeds around the pool.

Tenerife novembre/dicembre

It is the second year that we return to this house. The location is great, but many details of the house should definitely be improved. Some objects and some appliances should be replaced because they are not working or obsolete. Practically all the lampshades do not work, and many of them do not have a light bulb (same problem encountered last year) Many of the wooden chairs on the terrace are breaking or are broken (same problem found last year). A clothesline is missing (last year there was, but it was broken). A living room furniture has a broken door (from last year) and is very dangerous for small children. E' il secondo anno che torniamo in questa casa. La posizione è ottima, ma andrebbero sicuramente migliorati molti dettagli della casa. Alcuni oggetti ed alcuni elettrodomestici andrebbero sostituiti perchè non funzionanti oppure obsoleti.Praticamente tutte le abat jour non funzionano, ed a molte di esse manca la lampadina (stesso problema riscontrato lo scorso anno) Molte delle sedie di legno sul terrazzo si stanno rompendo oppure sono rotte (stesso problema riscontato lo scorso anno). Manca uno stendibiancheria (lo scorso anno c'era, ma era rotto). Un mobile del soggiorno ha un'anta rotta (dallo scorso anno) ed è molto pericolosa per bambini piccoli.

gute Lage

es war ein schöner Urlaub, das Appartement ist an einer guten Lage nahe zum Strand und diversen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Es hat einen grossen überdachten Sitzplatz(bisschen zu viele überflüssige Stühle)als Anregung war die Küche (kühlschrank war Schmudelig..nicht gereinigt.Preisleistungs verhältnis in Ordnung.insgesamt hat es uns gefallen.

The apartment was lovely clean and homely

I went with my 4 children and my 70yr old mom. One of my children has Down syndrome and he walked on to the balcony and closed the door after him which locked us out. With 1 phone call and a very short wait a knight in shining armour came to the rescue and let us back in. Thank you xx. The beds were so comfy the best so far. Most of the people on the complex were very nice. ( a mix of people living there and people having holidays). The kids spent a lot of the time in the pool. When we went (April) the heating in the pool was off. But this didn’t stop the kids. There is a shop close by and a short walk to the beach. We did hire a car from the airport which was great. The Siam water park was amazing, so much for the kids to do. If we come to Tenerife again I would stay at this apartment. The owners are amazing and nothing is to much trouble.

Very conveniently situated, Relaxing Pool Scene

This property suited us very well being close to the bars and restaurants and also close to pleasant walks along the Promenade. The Express Supermarket was almost over the road or a 5 min. walk up the road to a larger / cheaper one. Liked the easy to use oven and the washing machine also was very handy. I mostly stayed around the pool and had no problem getting a sunbed and it was very peaceful with no loud music (unlike the nearby Hotels) or noisy fellow sunseekers. We went in the pool multiple times (daily) and the pool and the surround were maintained very well. Contact whilst in Tenerife was very good by the management team. The Complex seemed very safe with the strict key system for entry but did need some organizing even with the two keys getting home with 4 adults wanting to return back at different times. Overall a very enjoyable Holiday.

Eenvoudig, geweldige locatie

Over t algemeen netjes, echter eind schoonmaak kan beter. Vuile pannen en een vloer welke al tijden niet is gedweild bij aankomst aantreffen is nou niet zo fijn.ook wat dingen die kapot waren, maakt geen goede indruk. Tevens zou extra beddengoed (lakens, slopen) wel fijn zijn als je 2 weken blijft. Wasmachine gelukkig aanwezig.. Locatie is geweldig, alles op loopafstand, zwembad op zich rustig en schoon, echter behoorlijk veel geluidsoverlast van andere bewoners, schoonmakers met bladblazers om 8 uur in de ochtend is ook iets wat anders zou mogen. Was ok voor een keer.. Tot slot de naam van het complex is Optimist en niet Casa Caliente, dit moet wel worden vermeld, zorgt voor verwarring..

Dank u voor uw recensie. Het spijt me dat u heeft gezegd dat de schoonmaak niet goed is verlopen. Maar het zou beter zijn geweest als u dat aan het begin van uw vakantie had gezegd. Dan had mijn collega weer een schoonmaakster kunnen sturen om dit probleem op te lossen. Normaal gesproken zijn onze appartementen erg schoon.

Lovely quiet apartment but close to all amenities

My husband, 2 teenager daughters and I have just returned from staying here. The apartment has everything we needed. Could benefit from a blackout blind in the second bedroom but otherwise we found spacious with a good bathroom. The pool area was quiet with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants minutes walk away. We got a minibus taxi from the airport which cost €58 return. I would recommend staying here and hope to return
