House was serviceable. I would not stay there again unless changes were made. There was only 3 towels. There was no regular TV stations. The coffee pot was filthy. Took me 15 minutes of scrubbing to get it clean.

The unexpected

My friends and family booked this house for our Christmas break trip. The listing mentioned a heated pool and hot tub, which is one of the main reasons we booked this house. Coming from a Michigan winter, we definitely were looking forward to enjoying our trip. The owner sent a message asking us if we wanted the pool heated. When we asked how much the extra cost would be she stated that the pool heater was broken. We asked if the hot tub would still be heated and she didn’t reply until we had already driven all the way to Florida and were ready to check in that day. She replied by telling us the hot tub would not be heated. I asked for a refund so that we could find a different location and she said that because it was within the seven days of cancellation, that we could not get a refund. If we would have known ahead of time, we would have canceled the reservation, but since she didn’t even give us 24 hour notice about the heat, not working, we were obviously within the seven days of cancellation. She did finally offer 50% of our money back if we wanted to cancel. It was already hours after the check in time of 4pm when she made that offer and we didn’t have another place to stay so we didn’t cancel. I asked for at least some money off for the heat in the hot tub not working and she offered us 10% off which equaled $180. It was cold in Florida the week and having a hot tub and heated pool would have been perfect. PS..also per owner request you cannot flush your toilet paper.
